Found this tid bit interesting on tribble.

We will be bringing the Tribble server down for maintenance to apply a new update.
ST.20.20120701a.2

Duty Officers:
  • Energy Weapons Officers updated:
    • Subsystem Targeting version has had its reduction effects restored to -15/-20/-25/-30, while its chance has remained at 25%
    • Beam Overload/Fire-at-Will version has had its reduction effects reduced to -2.5/-5/-7.5/-10, while its chance has been increased to 50%
    • Cannon Volley/Rapid-Fire version has had its reduction effects reduced to -2.5/-5/-7.5/-10, while its chance has been increased to 50%


Systems:
  • Increased damage for Quad Phaser and Disruptor Cannons.

Not sure if this change is better or worse lol.

    mehee the most pointless of the doffs for the most part. Not that the changes are bad... just pretty much likey the way they should have been to begin with.

    Yeah, I can understand that.. Makes me wonder how that effects the stacking of those Doffs.. or if they are going to be removing the Stacking possibility from those Doffs.

    at least it matches the parameters of the ability. 3 roles of 50% no mater what grade is nice, and down to cooldown only takes 3 green, or 2 blue with less proc chance.

    but if these were made so only 1 can be equipped then they are will continue to be not nearly reliability enough to use instead of doubling up on tactical powers.

    3 doffs all purple must have two of those to proc to get it perfect not going to happen.. Chance based "sustained dps" Is a horrible setup anyway you cut it.

    does a couple of things.
    • Beefs up sci and target sub system skills to where they was
    • for cannons it removes stacking for OP sustained DPS using BOFF as a main buffer
    • up the damage on quads to be more inline as stated on their intent as "the most powerful cannons in game" which they are not as DHC are out performing them.

    either it is good or bad will depend on how the PVP system uses it.

    Currently with the system a touch scrambled, and we know a major change is coming, question is, what is it?

    in current scheme, eh... puts the target subsystems back as it was other then that... meh, not much. i'll test it more tonight.

    Increased quads damage is verrry nice!
