you would think, with so many bops running around doing that, the player base would learn, and always expect that at any moment this could happen. i can survive 9/10 of those blind sides like that, even when im already hurting, does no one else use hull armor?

I'd like to think there weren't a ton of BOP's running around doing that. At least not as well. Or with such Flair! Or in a Marmot!

I want my "special snowflake" moment.

    Carry on and stay tuned!!

    Good movie, Thiss.

I was talking with my brother earlier about STO and he relayed an interesting anecdote.

He was on his Engie/Anniversary Odyssey in PvP, I believe in a FvF Cap and Hold when he encountered an Assault cruiser who was feeling... shall we say, frisky? It came after him guns ablazin', y'know, full-on battleship TRIBBLE-kickery mode. Of course, it accomplished all of not. The Assault Cruiser pilot threw a fit, calling my brother a cheater and what-not. So, my brother, fine upstanding cappie he is, calmly explained that EPtS goes a very, very long ways towards improving one's survivability, and when combined with Tactical Team, can give the illusion of invulnerability.

Assault Cruiser guy wasn't buying it, though. He continued to rant and rave for a bit, so my brother called him over and offered to demonstrate what he was talking about. The two cruisers pulled up broadside to each other, looking nothing more than like a pair of frigates squaring off in the Carribean. The AC signalled he was ready, my brother let EPtS expire, and the AC fired a single, full broadside into the Oddy, taking about 3 quarters of the port shield facing down. My brother balanced his shields, hit EPtS3, and signaled the AC to fire again, and again it left fly with its broadside, not even dropping the shield facing by a third of what it had previously done.

My brother then demonstrated why full power to weapons is important and hit AP:B 1, DEM3, EPtW, Wep Bat (has the Exocomp), and Nadion Inversion which led to him promptly bifurcating the poor, ill-equipped AC. He then explained that, had the AC had Tactical Team, it would not have died to the barrage and certainly been able to escape.

Sufficiently cowed, the Captain of AC retreated to Earth Space Dock, did some retraining, and promptly thanked my brother for is instruction as suddenly his formerly slightly squishy in PvE and worthless in PvP AC was now laughing off any and all threats in PvE and holding its own nicely in PvP, no longer folding at the merest hint of focused weapons fire.

Nice, heart felt story... Well... at least nice to read. :) A good hearty clap indeed for the success of another PVEr turned to the dark side.. and shown that PVP Can definitely improve PVE performance and should be dabbled in more frequently. :D

it does feel good to help the helpless, i think we can all agree to that. it kinda isn't fun to shoot some helpless sap that isn't even smart enough to balance his shields, i always feel bad when i see that. dude! click on your little ship in the hud! you have 3 perfectly good facings full of shields! use them!

at one point i stopped attacking this isolated guy on a cap and hold and as polity and respectively as possible told him how to balance his shields. i let him repair, then i started attacking him again, and killed him in 20 seconds instead of the 5 it would have took. he then thanked me, and said that he thinks i just improved his survivability by 1000%, and i agreed. then i told him about TT, EPtS, hitting TSS when the nasty escort fires off 3 or 4 tac buffs, and the shield distro doffs.

i can only hope that guy is now one of those pug opponents that doesn't fold like a chair when you shoot at him, and that now the quality of our opponents is .1% better thanks to his lessens learned.

You only increased his survivability by 300 %, if we go by the data point of 5 seconds go up to 20 seconds.

I feel nitpicky because I can't see the video.

Give me an American Proxy that's not slow as molasses. So far, whenever I tried, I was gravely disappointed.

ive been using a indoneasian proxy to watch gundam age, it loads very slow, but if you give it a sec it seems to run fine with no buffering.

the internet really is pathetic here, but thats what we get with corruption allowing for a cable monopoly that has no incentive to cut deals or improve quality.

ive had good luck with proxies from here http://www.xroxy.com/proxy-country-US.htm

It was a nice video and funny too, The only thing is not having a tac team up and a bop waiting until the fed has no shields and no buff also half way dead are two very different things. I will give you credit on a few kills though and seeing how I a primary kling player nice BoP tactics

No honest I think that's the entire point of the first part. I think choosing your targets is key. It's not my fault they mess up. So choosing NOT to attack someone that is currently running a full routine of buffs at full health and shield power is actually sorta smart. Even someone fully engaged with weakened shields and hull, if they are running the proper skills can be an impossible target. So why risk it. There were a few shots in that video where I just gave someone the final kick over the edge but I noted that.

And not having tact team or distributing shields is huge. There's no way around that and you can see there's no shortage of players that don't seem to get this. You have to use one OR the other. I think the video shows that.

Next video I suppose I'll post damage counts on each target. I mean its there in the video already but I could point it out. It just seems a little odd to do so.

    Cheers and ty for watching!

Oh and Evy doesn't count. If you know Evy then you understand. That bit is there for pure entertainment purposes.

    Thank You Evy!

And watch this one. This isn't about me chest thumping. I do think I'm rather good at what I do but that's not it. This video shows me mostly NOT killing this one fellow. In fact at times this guy has it all together and handles multiple opponents at one time. Then inexplicably he forgets what he's about and vaporizes for his trouble.

All of you guys don't "chase" so much as materialize. Even knowing that its coming barely lessens the impact that it makes. That match I knew I knew I had minimal time out of cloak before I had the bugs of death upon me.

Cheers! and thanks for making the Marmot H.O.D. feel as fast and sleek as this fellow right here!

Hey we were all silly feddies once!

Truth be told, I go over a lot of video. Very closely. I'll frame by frame by frame and look over buffs and damage done. There's a LOT of kills that do not make it into the final production.

Basically I need to be able to show the target as being in good shape except for they are not because they are neglecting buffs. Or they just don't have them. Or they forgot. Root causes I do not know. All I do know is that if you don't have them you will explode.

If you are attacking, defending, or just flying around a cap you need to tend to your defenses. I will consistently avoid a target at low health that is running an excellent defense in favor of a full health target that is running none. Hull health and shield health are not good indicators of the quality of the opponent you face. Shield distribution, Buffs, and flight patterns are.

And really, it takes some derring do to fly Fed Side. I have other videos where Feds are doing some great work and it shows.

    Cheers and thanks for watching!
