Okay, there are a couple of ways you can take a combo like that. You can do what I just did, which isn't easy if you don't have any aerobic or gymnastic experience, or you can using the momentum to roll backwards into a crouch, which is a good idea if you need to put some distance.
If you can, always slap your hands against the floor as you land. It's hard to do if you're in an intense fight, but it takes a lot of the shock out of the impact.

Fury: About the attack in Pegasus? Yes Hill is getting ready to head there now with a carrier to monitor the situation. The Republic says they have the situation being dealt with but id rather have eyes and ears there myself.
Firefly: you want me to go with her?
Fury: Yes. Since Jacob is currently busy. I was going to send him with her but I think this may be more down your alley of expertise any way.
Firefly: what are your orders.
Fury: Just monitor the situation for now. Unless the republic asks for your help. Then by all means do what you can. Other wise learn what you can but remember it happened in their space on their colony.
Firefly: understood sir.
Fury watchs as Firefly leaves as he sets the padd down he had been reading about the attack.

As coulson and Slade finish up with the troops they turn and see Sinclaire and Metran still battling.
Metran swings his blade at Sinclaire who blocks it with his staff as Sinclaire sends a blast of energy at Metran sending him back a few feet.
Sinclaire:yield!
metran:I'll never give in to someone like you. You here me never.
Metran makes a lunge to try to strike Sinclaire who side steps again blasting Metran. As Metran comes at him one more time.
Sinclaire: then you leave me no choice.
Metran goes to strike at Sinclaire who again blocks the blow while letting off a critical strike on Metran that sends him staggering. But not down. He tries to come at Sinclaire again as Sinclaire sends a finale blast through him. As he falls to the ground.
Metran (slowly and quite as he dies): I curse you brother to the pits. Die alone and betrayed....
Sinclaire sighs as the battle is now over. SHIELD teams are at their location now clearing up the area.
Coulson: I'm sorry we couldn't stop him.
Sinclaire: what needed to be done is done. That is what matters.
