Hi Captains,

We will be bringing down Star Trek Online tomorrow at 7:00am PDT (click here to view in your timezone) for maintenance and to apply a new patch. Patch notes can be found here, and we expect this maintenance to only last for 2 hours.

Just want to say I'm looking forward to the Akira carrier. Realizing the designer's original intent in this way is epic :)

Nice to include the time zone link, appreciated.

What I do not appreciate however, is the down times. From 16:00 local until 19:00 local is not good for EU. That is usually the time we get home from work, and want to relax with some STO.

It also ends very close to prime time, so if you guys go overtime, that's that day.

Please go back to the previous downtimes, wich was from 13:00 local til 17:00 local if memory serves. That's a much better time slot for EU players, since we get home from work, can have dinner, and relax with STO.

Thought the same. It's a really bad time for EU players.

EU as well and can't agree. 1600-1800 is not prime play time, to me it's either coming home from work/school or dinnertime for the vast majority of players. And since servers aren't localized this is just something we have to put up with. I for one won't go as far as to ask Cryptic to perform maintenance in their middle of the night.

Besides, no matter when they do it, someone somewhere will not be able to play in their available hours.

I'm just happy that they finally listened to multiple complaints and stuck in a time link.

Now if we could just get them to fix the missing status bar along the top of the forums.....
