There will be no Weekly PvP update this week either. Apparently Gozer is a matrilineal descendant of Lord Howe and will be taking the day off, quite understandably, to commemorate his ancestor's victory in the "Glorious First of June"
details
Bran Flakes is not able to make this announcement himself, as it is of course, Azores Day in Portugal. Brian visited Portugal in college and it is a holiday near and dear to his heart, as it is to many with a passing familiarity with Portuguese culture.
Whats that? Why can't we do it Monday? That's a good question.
Monday is Emancipation Day in Tonga. It commemorates BOTH the abolition of serfdom in Tonga by King George Tupou in 1862, and the independence of Tonga from the British protectorate in 1970. In honor of the many Tongan STO fans, Cryptic studios will be closed for what will doubtless be an EPIC staff party in which copious amounts of kava will be consumed.
Whats that? Why can't they just do the update on Tuesday? Well, because once its Tuesday, you might as well wait until next week silly!

Also, they will still be recovering from all that Kava. Tongan parties are pretty hardcore.....
NB: This information is HIGHLY reliable. It was leaked by the same super-secret anonymous, off-the-record sources you have heard STOked decline to quote.....

This is a joke. OK? For you Vulcans, thats a lighthearted attempt at humor.
"Hey mom, are we related to anyone named Lord Howe?... No?... oh, are we Portuguese? Oh, never mind then Things are fine.. busy at work . Trek, Ma. Star TREK. Its a Star Trek game . No, no Ewoks . I know they are cute but they are not in Star Trek got to run and do a PVP write up . No, PVP. It means Player vs Player never mind.. love ya..
ROFLMAO!
This just in from that same super-secret source that the OP has referenced as well: The State of PVP is still that it is broken. However, we are working on the issue and will be bringing you an even longer duration RSP that cannot be countered by SB; until then, thank you for your patience as we work on the game!
Attending scheduled raids is like a life unto itself, atleast it was last time I played such games remotely seriously.
Either that, or Gozer is so dedicated he posted on his family's holiday
Edit: As of 12:50 GMT, this Thread actually has more views than Gozer's actual post.
