Which server? The game server? When I am logged in, the time given is my local time there. I believe Cryptic sits in Seattle, which would make it PDT(Pacific Daylight Time, UTC/GMT -7 hours).

I based the time on the time advertised on the forum as thats the easiest for all to get to.

Not sure which zone that is though sorry. I'm from South Africa, so not too sure about the US time zones.

If someone US could help, I would appreciate it. What time zone would be best? You all have so many :)

I'm GMT +2 I think, so 10h00 am would be the equivalent of 20h00 pm for me.

The matches will run through out the day and evening, so even if you are late you will still get to play!

Still very new to PvP. Still figuring out how to "build" the right way.
Still, I think I will bring my KDF Carrier out to play, because I seem to do much better with that toon/ship combo than any other.

I'll be there. And I will bring lots of little ships to launch from my hangars.

EDIT : And my vote is just use the same time Cryptic uses for things. That would be 10am Pacific, 11 am Mountain, and 1 pm Eastern here in the US.

OK forum Time is based on what timezone you select under account options. The easiest way to do times would be to post a Time in GMT. If you go to my account and look under the options section, you can pick your timezone and it will tell you where you are +/- from GMT. For example, Canada Mountain time is GMT -7 right now. So if you wanted the even to start at GMT 10:00, it would be 3:00 here. Now daylight savings can throw a wrench in this though. If I recall, you won't have to doing and adjusting until you roll back the clocks in the fall.

    So summary:
    1. Go to my account
    2. Check under the options section.
    3. Select your timezone (it will state where you are in relation to GMT)
    4. Take into account Daylight savings if applicable
IFor example, in the fall, when we turn back the clocks, you need to subtract 1 more hour from GMT to get to your time. In the spring the GMT +/- hours listed under the options section should be correct. I think its this way, or it might be vice versa, its been a while since I had to co-ordinate an event with people around the world
    5. ???
    6. Profit!!! (or in this case Pew! Pew!)

Wish I could sign up, but Saturday is too unpredictable for me to even know if I'd be home. Usually I go out to a "local" Gaming Store for my Table Top Gaming on Saturdays. :(

Enjoy the PVP how ever :) Fight well. Die with Honor.

And don't forget the 2 million in energy credits too!

Just wanted to point out also, so there's no confusion. If any of you miss the tournament, it's OK. STO Frontlines is an ongoing tournament. This one's just to pick the first two representatives of the "Federation Council" and the "Klingon High Council" in the game :) Then the war starts!!!

The final winner gets to decide on the first offensive. Where, how and what is where the fun really starts!

And too all you that missed it watch the TRAILER

Question: is this all space, or will there be ground fights too?

Both ground and space can be fought.

The aim of the day is to select the first two faction representatives.

Players can choose two formats on the day:

    1 vs 1:
    • They can accept to challenge each other in a 1 vs. 1 match.
    • Winner is the first player to score 3 wins.
    • Winner qualifies for the next round.
    • By agreement, all matches can be fought in space, on ground, or a combination of both.
    • Matches will be played, until a final winner per faction is determined.
    • Each of the final two winners (Starfleet & KDF), at the end of the tournament will receive 2,000,000 ec + 1 console each, and will be the first honorary Council Members of their respective factions.
    • Third place runner-up will receive 1,000,000 ec.
    • The winning faction will received 25 SP (Strategic Allocation Points.)

    5 vs. 5:
    • They can request to play a five-player team match.
    • Each team member of the final winning team, will receive 1,000,000 ec at the end of the tournament
    • The "winner" of the "Council Member" title + console is the individual player, on the winning side, with the highest combined score (damage + healing) across all three games of the final round.
    • By agreement, all matches can be fought in space, on ground, or a combination of both.
    • To qualify for the next round the "winner" must notify the GM. At the end of the match the teams should make a screen capture if necessary, or by agreement decide the best individual player.
    • Teams will continue to compete, until a final "winner" per faction is determined.
    • The winning faction will received 25 SP (Strategic Allocation Points.)

Please note: Right now I would love to give rewards to all, but the goal is to get the game going. If there is something that you do not understand please drop me a mail.

    * Federation winner - Universal - Graviton Pulse Generator
    * KDF Winner - Universal - Impulse Capacitance Cell

I must apoligize for not making it this weekend. I am sorry. :o

I had to spend the better part of the day rewiring a bathroom before the tileman arrived and missed the whole thing.
I hope all involved had fun.

It may be easier just to have a "Frontlines Reports" thread every week. Pick a certain planet or strategic point for each week. People can report the results of matches in the thread (colorful commentary included?) and at the end of each week, you or someone just tallies the matches up. Whichever faction gets, say, 70% of the wins conquers that particular battle / planet. Less than 70%, it's the same place.

The main issue with this is that there's really not much incentive to play. I guess there wasn't enough anyways, but maybe it'd be easier for people to just opt in as they can, rather than setting a time?
