Does PVP make you cry?

No really serious question….

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I confess when I get into a really intense dog fight in PVP – I stop blinking and then tears stream down my face. Its intense and sometimes I die because I can't see through these ****** tears...

Learn to blink right? Surely I’m not the only person that does this?

I do get into some really awesome PVP's, the proper non-premade ganking ones where you cant call the winner, but i've never had a problem with blinking lol.

Perhaps you get SO into every aspect of a fight then everything else becomes secondary? It's pretty cool but lack of blinking?

Still able to breath though, so that's a plus right?

We could set up a PVP intervention for you? "Ducky, we've all become alittle concerned about your inability to use the most simple of motor functions while dogfighting".

After a particularly long work day and lengthy play time eye strain tends to set in. That's a pretty good sign that it's time to take a break and a nap but I don't always do as I should. Yawning fits put a bit of pressure on the tear ducts and I get all watery eyed. I did punch the door once after repeated bouts of "server not responding". I do not advise this. It hurts quite a bit.

Or are you referring to the number of times I've cried myself to sleep clutching my pillow and cursing hacking premades and broken mechanics that ruined my day? Well... I don't want to talk about it:(.

Anymore pvp for me is an excercise in nap time :p

It's why I'm playing games I'm out of practice with or weren't that hot at to start with so I can have a challenge again.

a reduced rate of blinking is a symptom for parkinsons disease. and considering the blink reflex is not a reflex rather than controlled by a part of your brain, you should ask a doctor about it, since brain injuries or tumors can influence normal brain functions

i'm really not joking. just google it...or better ask a doctor next time u see one.

Sometimes late at night, I lie in bed and all the images of NPC spam and broken skills and poor mechanics flood into my mind and I weep. I weep, not because PVP is in a rather poor state, not because there is always a multitude of players eager to use anything and everything that is broken. I weep because I have nothing better to do than que up again.

Jeez thanks for the advice - going to google that right now. This only happens if i'm in the middle of an intense battle and even then not always. Couldnt replicate it out of the game if I tried.

    As Heinrich Heine said:
Denke ich an STO PvP in der Nacht,
bin ich um den Schlaf gebracht

But I can't say I have cried over it.

Yeah that's more a case of hurling something across the room. Not really tear inducing

I tore a ligament in my hand playing STO from the continous gripping of the mouse, and my pooch has sustained many lonely nights curled up alone in bed :)

Slightly unsure if you're regarding a dog then you were unable to pet and thus give love, or another way of saying you cant ********** with said hand and thus not give love.

    Either way it'd a shame.

I hadn't heard this, but I'm willing to bet there was a giant squid and a lot of screaming involved.

So yeah pvp just made me cry.

I have had some seriously irritated eyes for the last week so I skipped out on wearing my contacts for a few days.

Apparently my contact solution gets stronger if it sits for a while.

My right contact also wound up with an airpocket underneath it
    Instant watery eyes. DAAAAAMN

The one thing that has really killed PvP for me and my friends is the attitudes of an alarming number of players. I remember way back most fights where fought with dignity and win or lose there was respect. these days a lot of players have a smug even insulting attitude when the victor and I wont even go into the response to a defeat.

Worst of all are those few who find their enjoyment in what can only be described as bullying and targeted harassment (which sadly one of my friends was the target of recently) and spread slander and rumours about them and even there fleet..

I can’t understand how the act spoiling others fun can be enjoyable, but they do and combined with the smugness it has really killed the mood of PvP. :(
