Both the post and the launcher stipulate May 17th. Which is Thursday. It does state pacific time zone. It just doesn't state a.m. or p.m. Though this is usually done in the a.m. So I think that it's a safe bet to occur 7am through 9am tomorrow.

0700 to 0900 Pacific Time (1400 to 1600 UTC) is AM

1900 to 2100 Pacific would be PM

Like I said, I didn;t see it go by. Kind of surprised that it wasn't copied to the zone chat either but when I was ingame a couple of hours ago, it was being discussed in DS9 zone chat at some length.

I;m the one who's been adding them to stowiki lately. I don;t recall the last few times the notes being posted until the patch was applied and the servers were brought back up.

    I may be mistaken though.

The maintenace notice as posted doesn't say they are applying any patch BTW.

Yep, you are correct - in the 'old days' they used to say "and apply a new patch" in the note - but it appears they haven't done that for over two months now - so yep, there probably is a patch.

Chicago use Central time zone, not pacific time zone. the 7 to 9 is in pacific time zone. Wait until 11 (or 12 for me, since i'm living in the eastern time zone :p )

I could swear Release Notes went up at least the day before the downtime.

If that's the case, perhaps there's no patch. I know there wasn't much (quantity-wise) on Tribble after last week's downtime.

Oh, I get what they are doing. Cryptic could just be doing general maintenance. Thanks.

They are probably taking the Lobi crystal rewards and accolades off the last weekly missions and adding them to the next. Seems only logical.

I know there are time zone converters online but would it be possible to include GMT in these announcements?

Also, we do have a patch today, at least my client has patched, so hopefully we will get some notes to go with the patch.

Confusing I know, although they use UTC which = GMT, but we are in British Summer Time at the moment (ie sort of GMT + 1). 30 minutes to go!

    :p

UTC IS GMT. It is the updated name for it.

So... To clarify, we're looking at 3pm - 5pm GMT+1. Clocks went forward the other month, hence the +1.

It says 1400 to 1600, but that hasn't taken into account daylight saving, surely? Otherwise, the game would be working now?

Technically they do, this new fangled UTC is the same as GMT.. which has been used since 1884(internationally that is, we have used it for a fair bit longer) with out a problem, now is not good enough and we have to use this UTC thingy (yes and 1972 is new for this old TRIBBLE). But we in the Blighty will still use GMT what ever the haters try to do :)

Folks. If you are looking for the exact time, when the server will be back up, you can always go to Bing.com. Type the phrase 'pst time' into the search engine and hit enter. Once it provides you with a list of results, the second one on the list will bring you to the right place.

    Link: http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/usa/pacific-time/

    Its that simple.

Cryptic will have the server up within approximately 15 minutes (in relation to the time of my post).
