Hi all,

Today I was out PC game shopping and spotted the STO pack (includes t shirt etc) for £9.99! Being a fan of Star Trek I decided to pick up a copy and give it a try.

I'm a big fan of online games and thought this might be a nice change from the Warrior and Wizards type of game I'm so use to playing!

Anyway hello :)

    Howdy-do.

The game is, however free to play. What you bought was a gold membership. Enjoy it, sir, and welcome aboard!

Welcome! I recommend once you've gotten used to the game that you look into joining a fleet. The next big update next month focuses on Fleet development so this is a great time to join up!

Welcome to STO and the community. Don't feed the trolls. If the food you see around here talks, don't eat it. Random dance parties and posts happen, roll with it. Don't pet the toucan. Bacon is best. If you have a question don't be afraid to ask, except for 'Where's Sulu?' we will laugh at you for that. I hope you enjoy your stay.

Welcome! You're going to like this game, I guarantee. (and despite what other people say, this game DOES have a lot of missions)

Hmm, I assume your pack comes with some in-game items. You should be able to claim them from the C-Store button in the game, look under Legacy Unlocks.

And welcome to Star Trek Online. Watch your step, the Borg are still not housebroken.

    Thanks all!

Yeah the t shirt is quite good. Black with the Star Trek Online logo on the front. :) The pack I purchased also included a code for a Deep Space Nine Uniform I think.

Even though I purchased the game yesterday I've only just started installing it due to building a new PC.

    Hi again!

I'm just updating this thread really. I've not really had the spare time to play STO that much. I'm going to give it a try for sure tonight though :)

I've been watching STO videos on youtube and I'm quite looking forward to trying the game out.

    Thanks again

Just saying, the YouTube videos, most of them are from when the game came out.... It's changed a lot by now...
