I am not sure if this was already posted before. But which uniforms in the federation do you prefer? A specifice era? ENT TOS TAS Movies TNG DS9 VOY or post TNG movies? Mirror universe? or do you prefer custom uniforms to mix and match?

I was wearing the Seirra 1 Uniform, but recently changed to the first contact/Later DS9 2380's uniform. I will most likely return to the seirra type, and advance through 2,3,4 etc. I have an off duty outfit for my character which is just comprised of baggy trousers and top alternated from the antares line.

I find it interesting why and what other characters wear and the intresting back stories that get developed.

I love the TOS Nurse Skirt and use it at least on one (or more) costume slot(s) of all my fed chars (9) *^_^* .. for the upper body, I prefer the "open" versions of the "Sierra 1" and "Antares 4" uniforms and the Bajoran uniform, too (1 & 2). Boots/Shoes.. TOS High (NOT Knee High), Section 31, Bajoran 1 and the "Motion Picture" shoes.. sadly there is a bad bug now, which prevents one from wearing those shoes with any other combo than with loose long pants, but luckily I still have two chars, which already wore them with other combinations before the bug occured.. ah-yes.. and I nearly forgot to mention the "7 of 9" uniform, which I also like very much!! I just wished, they'd offer more options for stockings (color, material, transparency, shinyness, ..)

When you see me wandering the stations, you'll quickly discover that I don't like any of the uniforms.

Aside from the fact that there're so few actual choices. Yes if you look on the list you'll see what appears to be lots. when you pay out your cryptic point either 320 or 1,000 you'll get the look that you want... which is virtually identical to everyone else who chose that set (bright colours not withstanding).

Plus, for women, there are only four skirts (at least on the federation side). All way too short and all looking pretty much the same.

I have no complaints about this, but I don't intend to look like everyone else :p

I wear civilian clothes ^^. Does that mean that I'm disqualified from this thread? lol

I prefer the WoK uniforms and I;ve actually spent a fair amount of time on them using that guide over at stowiki.

Granted they were free when i signed up with that code but I still like them.

Gotten a bit tacky with them. My avatar has her jacket undone while the rest of her officers have to suffer with them buttoned up. :)

Ok six skirts. I'll take your word for it but I've only seen four. It could be because I'm too busy using c-points for things that I perceive as useful and I just don't find aesthetics usful in a game such as this (trust me, in other games I have hundreds of outfits ^^) where I spend most of my game time as a ship or in full body armour.

Currently my bridge officers and I are wearing the TNG movie style uniforms. I would go for the TV series but cant justify the cost of the uniform.

Be real nice if I had the option to put all my crew in the same uniform and colors as I am wearing. Sure would make it nice when just making the rounds on my ship.

The Movies/Late DS9 uniform. Currently wearing the Admirals version from the DS9 pack.
I really dislike 'custom' uniforms I see prancing around ESD.

Did the admiral`s version come with the DS9 clothing pack that you could get from the lock boxes? I didnt see it on my list but the other DS9 clothes were unlocked for me.

The All Good Things/Endgame uniform is the best. I won't buy it though I just use it for character mugshots. For my game characters I use the TNG film uniform.

Being a dull person I just use the standard TNG era uniform with a tactical kit over it.

Like Janeway, I also wear the same pants for 7 years IRL :P

The only other 'uniform' I use is the 21st century dress for when I need to run newer Omega Force operatives through KA Ground. They need something distinctive from the background to look at or they tend to get disoriented with all the tunnels and the multi-level structure under the IMR.

I made the Sierra 1 uniform the standard on my ship, since this is the closest match for what Captain Data wore in the Star Trek: Countdown comic:

    http://images.wikia.com/startrek/images/a/a1/Countdown_Online_comparison.jpg

I'd like to think that this is the "official" 25th Century Starfleet uniform, and can never understand why Cryptic would break immersion by allowing a large range of different uniform designs (in favour of "customisability").

I'm also working away on my Dip XP so that I can get the Diplomat uniform set.

I like to think the AGT one is "official" and its glorious combadge. Everyone has their personal canon don't they.

Personally I think the Sierra and Antares uniforms are just ugly. That's probably why customisation is a good thing :P
Though the altered uniform code thingy in their history thingy...

    in full body armour.

Hide the armour. U -> Go to the officer in question -> the paper doll tab -> right click on the armour -> Disable visuals.

Can do it on kits as well.

    Hope this helps,

Two of my characters use the Sierra uniform. For Sinclair's crew, it's mostly black (or a very, very dark grey) with division colors across the shoulders. With Draz's crew, the shoulders are black, the layer around them white, and the division color is the body.

Roshan, my Andorian Tac, spent most of his career (which began during the Dominion War) in the late DS9/TNG movie uniform - black body, grey shoulders, division color undershirt. Now that he's an admiral, he's made the jump straight to the Jupiter uniforms.

My personal favorites would probably be the "monster maroons" of the TOS movies, followed by the late TNG two-piece uniforms, with a sentimental fondness for the classic TOS tunics.

I can't even see my uniform except when I am logging in to the game. My combat suite is always on. I wish they'd patch the game to where when you visit a deep space station your character is wearing a uniform and when your on an away mission that isn't hostile.

    :)

The one I am using now is NTG film version.

I like to mix and match but I limit myself to only those uniforms that have the rank-on-sleeve (TOS and Motion Picture). I don't care for the rank-on-collar or rank-on-breast look. Too military. I don't mind the shoulder braid along with rank-on-sleeve as both have a long history of civilian as well as military use. Besides, I just like the look better. I wanted to use the TOS Mirror jacket but it has no rank insignia. However one of my Capt's, who is a born and bred Cossack, does wear the sash with his uniforms. Gives him more of a "Cossack" look heheheheh.

That's my major beef with the WoK uniforms. Every one wears the captain locket.

Haven't looked at the sleeves though. Forgot all about them.

My captain wears the Jupiter Decorated top with belt, Ambassador pants and shoes.

Hmm, was going to say what my BOffs wear. But, I think I would have got in trouble. They're all female and 2 are Orion. You figure out the rest. :D
