How many BOFFS do you have?

I am curious about what races people prefer for their bridge officers but also how many do you have? And if you have the maximum allowed (46?) Do you use them all? Do you assign them to different ships? For specific missions(ie patrols exploration, combat encounters)? I have more than a dozen and now i find some of the first Bridge officers to be also the best.

Im a new player, a f2p player currently. So i started with four, only have recently upgraded and purchased two more slots, at captain i receive free slot, so ive just been toggling with this. I do belive once my finances are perfect i will subscribe to gold, and go all the way to as many characters as possible. I read somewhere as hearsay, that one day the hope to make the first officer as a secondary controllable character so hoping for that.

    Dozens
Each ship/character has an almost full set (except one who has only a single one because of a shortage of decent quality candidates)

A wide range of races as well (some ships are single race)

I have around 10. I did buy a couple of extra slots, btu have no intention of going any higher. The ship is usually having the same layout for them, as it suits my fighting style perfectly, but I do have them equipped for ground missions based on what I want. The standard away team has 1 tac, 1 sci, 1 eng (these are always present) and either an extra sci or eng, depending if I think i'll need my doctor.

But I also have a reserve of tac's, so if I am heading to somewhere where I know I will mostly be shooting, I equip a full tac team. They are quite a force against the computer (though I suspect against players, my team and I would get cream crackered).

On my main, 13. There is one that doesn't get used at all and is only there because my photonic officer never appears in a bridge station and I actually like the Unity bridge, but most of them have a use even if they don't get used much.

First I have a 4 man standard away team with miniguns for most enemies, engineer and turret heavy, with a second medic on reserve for Devidians. I have a second away team with shotguns and the Breen weapon for Borg that's heavy on AOE damage powers and buffs.

Space, I've got a standard escort setup, with a second commander set up more for AOE than single target. I've got their commander and LTC skills set up so that the same main set, less the ensign, works on either an advanced escort, multivector escort, or Defiant-R, and I can swap back and forth between the LTC and CMD tacticals for different attack patterns.

I've got a second set (uses the engineer and one scinece officer from the escort set) for cruisers, with the two tac officers set up so they can work on either together on a Sovereign or one alone on an excelsior. I can also use either of the escort commanders for a single cannon/turret Excelsior setup, though I haven't fully equipped that ship. Like the escort setup, these teams are designed so I can reverse the engineers to get different commander powers.
