Asteroid Mining

It looks like the devs put mining into the game just in time. :cool:

I hope they remember to watch out for xenomorph eggs.

    Nice, but the first thing to do is to work on bringing down launch costs. When it costs a thousand dollars per kilogram just to get stuff into Earth Orbit, the mining robots are going to be too expensive to recoup costs. However, a serious attempt at making asteroid mining viable is exactly the kind of incentive that we need for spending effort on bringing down those launch costs. It took only twelve years to go from the first crude orbital satellite to putting men on the Moon, so I can imagine asteroid mining becoming reasonable 20 years from now if industry gets behind it.

    You clearly have no idea what dilithium and/or Tiberium is worth theese days...

    I like that.. That Fleet Star Base isn't going to build its self... We need it to haul our Dilithium to..

    I say; why should all those speedy Marauders go without a safe place to stop off at so we can apply a Tariff.
    Now lets work on the Zone of Control and DOFF ship patrol management s o we can grab a laser drill
    and work off some of these nice Tuleberry Pies my Temperamental Chefs baking up.
