d'Kora swarm rockets bug!!!!!!

hey there!

ive got myself a Ferengi D'Kora Marauder this week...
now i noticed a problem with the swarm rocket's hot-key;
whenever i have torpedos equiped on my d'kora, and set
them to auto-fire, the swarm rocket hot-key from the d'kora
universal console keeps BLINKING all the time, making it
almost impossible to actually hit the button, to fire these
swarm rockets :(( im not sure if it has anything to do with
my duty officers that i put on space-duty. ive got 3
projectile weapon doff's on space duty to reduce the
recharge time of my torpedos... now when i go to the swarm
rocket hot-key, it shows me 3x 20% chance reducing the reload
time for 4 seconds. maybe theres a conflict with the auto-fire
torpedos and the doff's that reduce the recharge time of torpedos.
i dunno, but fact is; the swarm rockets hot-key keeps BLINKING
constantly (locked/unlocked/locked/unlocked). its mostly taking
forever trying to push the swarm rocket hot-key in the right moment :(

PLEASE!!! can you look at this? its only like this when using torpedos
set to auto-fire... when i equip beam banks instead of torpedos, it
is no problem. this blinking hot-key bug only happens when having
torpedos equiped and set them to auto-fire mode....

please fix this asap. it would actually be VERY nice if you could just rightclick
the swarm rocket hot-key, to set it to auto-fire. just like every other weapon
hot-key in the game. but if not, please fix at least this blinking problem...
its making it very hard to use swarm rockets at all, when using torps at the
same time :(

i really like the d'kora. the setup im using does alot of dps and the d'kora can
take some dmg...im doing almost as much dps as i did with my guramba sidge
destroyer. but not being able to use the swarm rockets correctly makes me
miss my guramba :P considering that the guramba javelin can be shot like every
minute and the swarm rockets need 3 mins to reload, the rockets should at least
work correctly imo...

well, i hope you can rebuild this bug with my describtion, and fix it fast :)

    Did you take your torpedos off of autofire yet? The autofire itself may be causing your problem.

    no i didnt try that yet...i guess that will solve the problem....since the bug seems to be linked
    with the autofire from my two torps. ill try that in a bit. but even then...itll be nice to keep the
    torpedo on autofiring mode, cause theres already enough other things to watch for, now also
    having to manually shoot the torps all the time....i dont know...

    but i will try it. still better than not being able to shoot rockets at all...

    I have a ferengi ship too and had the same problem

    the issue is that they share a cooldown with all your torps.

    My ship has 3 forward torp weapons, and I generally need to stop those from firing before I can fire the swarm rockets.

    It's not a bug, it shares a cool down with other torpedos

    Edit: reread your post and needed to make an extra comment...

    It's a 3 minute cooldown and doesn't damage shields very much...

    Take it off auto and just use it on targets with shields down.... I've personally have had no issue with this power..

    Take it off auto and just use it on targets with shields down.... I've personally have had no issue with this power..
    It is a bug as if you use torpedoes its next to impossible to use the swarm missiles. Worse yet if you use the Ferengi set missile item which is meant to be left on auto fire with its 2sec fire rate you can barely press the button to use swarm missiles.

    I run a torpedo boat, the D’Kora with its 30% torpedo damage is very much a torpedo ship. So why have swarm missile’s fail to fire when torpedoes are used?

    Then weird because... I have my Quantums on Autofire and have no trouble clicking swarm missiles myself...

    I don't have swarm on auto as I stated earlier because of the cooldown....

    Although I'm not running a Torpedo boat.... I have 2xDHC 1xSC 1xQuantum forward and 1xBA 2xTurret 1x Quantum aft...

    It might only be the fast firing torps. I have x3 purple torp speed doffs so even with quantum’s my torps fire at max speed at around 1.5sec. The problem seems to be every time a torp fires the swarms go into 1.5 sec cooldown. So if the quantum’s fire at 1.5sec the swarms never get a chance to fire.

    I have two purple torp doffs slotted myself...... I really doubt just one would make the difference...

    I thought it was just me until I saw this post. I agree that it could not have been meant to be this way. The regular rockets are NOT fired from the same place. They are fired from a lower place on the ship. The swarm rockets are fired from a turret that pops up and fires them.

    Seriously this is a PITA and with such a long cooldown why can't this be fixed? Other ships can fire there torpedo's without this issue. Think if the BOP's could not fire there Bio Warhead without waiting for a cooldown and have to click on it how mad they would be. There are several instances of this not being an issue with other weapons as well.

    Defiantly a bug.
