So hey, I noticed in the forum description it cites fan fiction and fan art, but I haven't seen much of anything. Does anybody post these goods? Are there any specific content rules (beside the obvious common sense ones) about doing so? How does this fly on this forum?

Graci. :D

Yes I do post fanfiction from time to time but customer feedback (No. of views) tells me that STF videos are in much higher demand.

The truly active RP/fanfic guild I know right now is a Cardassian one (Allied Reconstruction Force), or at least, they do make an effort to keep in touch with me periodically.

As for myself I do post stuff occasionally to document significant (to me) gameplay progression events, such as these:

    1) Countering the D'deridex Defender (Powerful NPC ship that's not supposed to appear in mid level normal missions... but it did)
    2) Omega Force Academy concept - I train new STF pilots now in a competency based newbie-friendly non-elitist environment
    3) Character Bio thread - The thread starter and I actually managed to meet in game and there was a suggestion to post our character and bridge officer backgrounds online. Didn't take off though.
    4) Video logs for fleets and PUG 'squadrons' - in my signature, and youtube channel

There are various independent persons around the community who are interested to found a fanfiction/writers' guild but do not wish to sign up with any of the major guilds in STO. Perhaps, we can find some common ground there.

Writing collaboratively definitely beats shooting up Borg drones anyday :)
