If you have five minutes that you can spend filling out a questionnaire, please follow the link above. I am trying to get at least 1,000 people to participate and give their feedback on a few things that have been discussed here on the forums almost weekly for over two months.

After the questionnaire has had 1,000 people participate, I plan on sending it to each of the Developers here on the forums. I personally have posted the questionnaire on Facebook and a couple of Star Trek Fan sites that I frequent and love.

Thank you very much for your cooperation.

Oh wait, you were answering the second question!

To be fair, I didn't expect anyone to really vote for the first option in question #4. I should have aked, right after that, if people would be willing to purchase a Master Key. I bet they would, but it isn't their prefered method.

Question 7 has me surprised. I thought that for sure the Federation would be higher than it is. Romulans a close second so far.

Maybe if you ask if they were tempted to buy additional keys, if there was a slight chance that the keys also dropped as loot...

Maybe on my next questionnaire, if this one proves useful. ;)

Well for the what ship I wanted to see, I chose "none of the above" simply because I am sick to death of seeing cruisers added to the game.

Now a well thought out escort would be cool ;)

Thank you! I wish they would put the survey on their Facebook page. That would be a nice place for it! It only has 180,000 likes. I mean, I think we can get a good sampling from that, no? :p:rolleyes:

I like the gambling element to the lockboxes but there should be several kinds of lockboxes dropping, not just the Ferengi ones. I can only stomach so many Ferengi Cadre and holonovel doff missions. new lockboxes with more variety dropping alongside the Ferengi lockboxes would add some more choice to the gambling metagame.

If they do add the Andorian ship, it will be an escort.

IMO - the interesting thing is that with regard to uestion 7, your question has nothing to do with the state of content for any faction; and my point ? It seems that Klingons overall may not be as popular a faction with the Star Trek fanbase (at least those who've taken the survey so far) as some players here might lbelieve.

That said, since Cryptic put the KDF in game - they SHOULD complete the faction and give it PVE leveling content from 1 - 22 AND alow those that wish to, to play a KDF character from level one (without any 'unlocking' required); and the faction should have it's own starting tutorial too, so they never have to touch anything to do with the Federation if they don't want to.

Well this will not happen. JamJamz said that in the future we will see one ship design for all classes (like the Odyssey). The specification differences between the types will be increased compared to the Oddy. There is a high probability that in the future new designs will be - to big part - cruisers.

In fairness... Star Trek WAS mainly cruisers.. But a "ship designer" who can't imagine starfleet escorts, is not ship designer at all...

Take a look at BC... there are tons of escort-like ships there... all made by people in their spare time:

    http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/UFOP_Scorpion_Class;37779

    http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Adder_class;117493

    http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/DJ_Valiant_Class;89626

    http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Barrier_Class;99907

    http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Chimera;31174

    To just illustrate a few...

Shouldn be too hard for a pro to do something cool as well. (and yea... I know how hard modeling can be... I made a few for BC myself...)

Wow, I like that http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/DJ_Valiant_Class;89626 moreso that the defiant. And the Adder class. Good imagination. Although I think a monthly survey would be very good, and as an escort flyer as well, I'd like to see more escorts. :o

So far, only 118 people have taken part in the questionnaire... I'm still shocked that that Romulan and Federation are the most popular factions...

I am not... Dispite not really being a major faction in Trek, the Klingons are not surrounded my mystery... The Romulans are.

It was hard to choose between Federation and Romulan...

I liked the idea of "mini-factions" and I think there's some potential there.

I think I was the 100th person to take it.. do I get a prize? (The results are now showing 100 in most categories).

Edit: maybe I should read previous posts. But if 118 have taken it, why is 100 the highest total?

Ain't the Akira & the Andorian Vessel supposed to be Escorts?

Besides that: In Star Trek size usually does matter if about the same tech level. IIRC the official ST definition of "Escort" doen't even mean warship. It was a choosen classification for the Defiant to cover up the fact that it was a warship. Explained by Sisko somewhere in the DS9 episode with the first Defiant appearance.

Nothing to be shocked about with those numbers. What most people fail to realize is the fact that the reason that the kdf faction doesnt have high numbers isnt because of a lack of content, its because of a lack of interest, ive stated it a few times now and no one still believes me that klingons are just not that damn appealing of a faction, while romulans are.
Have the klingons had more screen time sure...we can thank that pathetic excuse for a tactical officer worf for that one.
Who showed up first as the big baddies in trek...Romulans
Who gave cloaking tech to the klingons.....Romulans
Who has way sleeker designed ships.....Romulans
    Who has illegal ale.....Romulans....

I can keep going but its pointless...people still whine that they want a 1-22 level setup for the kdf...meanwhile we won the poll 2 years ago to be the next faction placed ingame and yet still continue to wait while we listen to KDF whining about content or not having this or that...

Im not against the kdf at all, and think whats occured for the past 2 years is unexcusible for a professional development team but in my eyes,
STO is the Titanic and the KDF is the damn iceberg...2 years we been sinking instead of just tossing the romulans in when we should have...pvp alone would have been more robust...

I have to pay to get results past 100 votes. But I have 132 people who took the survey. Once I get the 1,000 votes I want, i'll pay for the results.
