Yep I bought my tickets this afternoon, although pretty sure I am not likely to go to any of the captain talks.
Maybe I will see one of them around?
For those who dont know, all five captains will be there.. Kirk, Sisko, Picard, janeway and Archer
I'm trying to get my firends to go. The last one I went to was when I was in my teens and now im in my 20's this si going to be amazing. I only wish thought we had all the casts of the crew from each series and I know some have passed away (R.I.P) but having all five captains is just as good. :d
That looks awesome, i have never been to a convention . . but how can i refuse this one . . all the caps . . and Shatner himself ! . . definatly going to have a look into this . . i also need a few more props and nick-nacks for my display cabinet . . lol.
Yes, this event is going to be amazing. Hard out will be is to try and convince my firends about this, they like star trek but when it comes to going out they are just plan lazy.
Would like to attend this, but our idiot Goverment is too busy TRIBBLE us over. I cannot therefore afford the petrol required to drive to London, and one has to take out a mortgage to park a car anywhere in London. Not can I afford the train fare since our railway's train operating companies charge the Earth to get from A - B, would be late anyway, and their ticketing system makes no sense whatsoever.
I live in the UK, no where near London but heck I'm going to try my very best to be there. I have to really, the chance my never come around again!
Yeah, I'll be flying over from Denmark for it, been waiting for years for a convention like this! Looking forward to the parties! Would be a shame if STO wasn't represented in some way there atsuch a large event, they were at that gaming con in London before the games launch, so we know they are happy to fly people to London ;-)
Would be cool to see a rep from Cryptic there Suri, I agree... Going to cost you a pretty penny flying over huh?!
I've got something like 5 months to get money for a ticket, which for 3 days is £50 I think, and I'll also need to figure out some way of being able to get there, stay for the 3 days and get back. I know some local friends who will want to go so I'm going to try to arrange to go with them. That's my main concern though, just being able to actually afford to go there, get in and be able to get back, as I'm still unemployed.
Times like these make me wish I was wise enough and reasonably financially able to have been saving a little bit every month for the past 12 years or so, in which case I would not have to worry and just go VIP. lol
I'm hoping I can attend, but like many financing it is the issue.
Those already in the UK may want to check out The Trainline, if you book tickets far enough in advance you can get them at good prices. Sadly, their system only allows booking tickets around 90 days in advance, so best bet is currently pricing tickets for mid-july, then booking around that time (hoping prices haven't gone up).
Same is true for hotels, book far enough in advance, and you can secure some good rates. One good thing about it being at the ExCel is they have several on-site hotels.
That looks great, I just got home from the Calgary expo last night they had the entire main cast of Next Gen it was amazing!!! Was anyone else there for the 25th anniversary special? http://www.calgaryexpo.com/tng-exposed/

Really hope Cryptic sends some STO devs to it :-)

It's really a time problem. From California to Vegas, an easy trip. From California to UK...yeah..
