Just got back to STO after some (frustrating) period playing SWTOR.
Planning on sticking with STO for a long time, now.
Just wanted to say hi.
"Live long and prosper..."
I'm the other way around really. STO's a great game, but there's just not much for me to do lately, I'm just interested in the Story and Mission content so will be spending most of my time over there and dropping ingame here sporadically. Welcome back though

Thanks man.
SWTOR is a nice game, if you´re after story and all.
MMO wise, there´s next to nothing to do after you hit 50 and get your (bad looking) gear.
I don´t know if you´re already playing or not. If not, be sure to roll on Fattman, its the most crowded server, the others are pretty much dead.
Good luck there, man.
"May the Force be wi..." err, "Live long and prosper."
Exactly why I really hope Guild Wars 2 delivers in what they are attempting with its endgame PvP system. Tired of games that once you hit cap level and run out of content, all they really do is stick you in very limited small map arenas and call it PvP.
With TOR it was just Hutball over and over again. With STO its little bitty pint sized instanced maps with a handful of people meeting in the middle facerolling buttons.
Asheron's Call, EQ and WoW hands down had the best of the PvE aspects, always expanding and always having something to do even after you level capped. UO and Dark Age of Camelot had the best PvP as that was their endgame centric theme. Everything else for the most part has just been a cheap WoW clone or has linear and limited PvP having neither PvE, nor PvP better than some of their much older predecessors.
you dog tor in another thread then talk to others here wanting to play whit them make up your mind plz?
Some people should learn to take things with a grain of salt...
This thread isn´t about SWTOR, i just mentioned to let peole know why i was absent of STO thats all.
But since you mentioned, i´ll repeat it.
I hold to all i have said in that other thread. FOR ME, TOR sucks. Badly.
But different people have different tastes and opinions. What i dislike, others like. Should i yell at them and become their enemy, just because they have chosen to play a game that i don´t like? Please...
I still have (great) friends down there on TOR. I´m still in touch with them on VENT, we still have a good time chatting, and im sincerelly happy that they´re enjoying TOR, as im sure they´re not hating on me cause i quitted playing.
So, nynik and I, should we become enemies, just because we like different games?

Yep, that's pretty much what we do on these forums.
Don´t get this wrong, but since i last played STO (it was P2P back then) the game didn´t have these lockboxes and now im starting to colect a few of them.
So, people ACTUALLY spend real money to open these boxes? Looks kinda odd...

Still playing TOR off and on now. But since the Legacy system came out I'm begining to not care for the game. Will re up my sub at least one more time but this system just puts up a middle finger to those of us that only run one character. I don't ever see them raising the cap for TOR for at least 3 years because of this.
Comments
i checked tor out. i wanted to like it but it was not for me.

From what I can tell he is talking about SWTOR......
I still play SWTOR occasionally. Probably not enough to justify a sub though.
LLAP
Got back a few days ago and i´m still getting the hang of the game again. Hopefully i´ll stay for a long time and see you ingame.:)
There is already a thread for TOR comments, but...
You do know that the huge update, Update 1.2: Legacy comes out today right?
Oh wait, hasn't your doppelg

Thanks, mate.
It´s a nice game, but it´s not really my thing.
Which server you play on? I got some friends on Fattman, i could hook you up with them if you´re just beginning.
