So, if the C-Store Sale was kinda like Christmas, then now is the when you go back to school in January and tell all your friends what Santa brought you. So what did Santa bring everyone?

Yeesh. Just trying to be casually social for the people who did. EVERY forum doesn't need to be a grumpy rant.

Aww a bitter player but one who still plays? :D.

As for me the sale brought me the Federation dreadnought about 3 weeks earlier and 400 cpoints cheaper. All the c-points were from dilithium. Would feel great if I hadn't spent 75 bucks on Klingon . You know the fruit of a hard work always tastes the best.

It was Christmas for me; A friend even divined my account password and bought me things...

I got the D'kyr science ship, as well as a couple of GQ doff packs... Lesse... Ooh, two klingon carriers I still have to figure out how to use as well.

    Not a bad haul atall.

Wasn't a rant... You simply asked "what did santa bring you"... and I answered the what and why...

Would'n call it bitter... At least not how I understand "bitter". More like "theres nothing in there that equals the price requested".

I have too many enemies ones I didn't even look or try to antagonize.......gosh...

    Germany.

And you can't have him, he's MINE! I got him hooked on this game originally. We've known each other for about three years now, started over at Rpol, actually.

yeah I noticed just pulling your leg. With free 400 cpoints a month I'd think you could save some to buy those ships :). I'm just grateful they do not charge like those in World of Tanks. Though technically now there's 50 bucks worth of cruiser.....hope it won't make precedent...[cause I bought one and do not wish to see another OP set.] I did not say the last part that was my conscience....damn should have not taught it to write...:p

Go out, roleplay, have fun. Make friends. Shanghai them into games. Get them to buy you things.

Granted, for me it was a three-year con...

I don't use the Stipends... they will just be filling my account, just like I don't use the Dilithium exchange. At least not untill certain approaches change.

The reason I am here is my awesome fleet.

Edit, but to nudge me back on topic: At this point, there is nothing in the C-Store I feel like I am interested in.

My inventory and bank are maxed on my main, and I have the items I want. The Flagships are the only things that could be interesting, but sadly, I fly escort.

I bought all the c-points I could during the price hike and made a killing selling them back.

Well, I WOULD have bought ships but it won't allow you to purchase Admiral level ships when you're only a Capt. (which makes no sense to me... you should be able to purchase them... just wouldn't be able to use them till you reach that level. This is the first MMO I've encountered with that limitation). So I didn't really get that much. Already have the uniform options I want. Did buy some BoFF slots and a bridge pack.

If that was Christmas, then that is very unfortunate. Please don't compare such a great holiday to an immoral tool.

I got the 1 Bill EC extension, 2 bank expensions, oh the Tactical oddy for my engineering character, it wasnt on sale but i did get the extra C points. Was very happy with that ship until they broke it with the batch. Nothing else on the C-Store i wanted, so for me it was a good little haul.

(Before people wonder why i didnt buy the oddy pack, because i only wanted the Tactical one which fits in nicely with my Dreadnought and the Sao Paulo)

    I kinda scored big.

I've been intending to max out my dilithium income by making sure I played as much as I could with every character, but unfortunately haven't had the time to play as much as I wanted. I've needed VA ships for several characters that weren't cruisers. (I've owned the Excelsior and Dreadnought for over a year but the F2P switch caught me mid-emblem grind and changed everything into dilithium, at which time I was taking a break from playing - which turned out to be a good thing!)

So I'm struggling to get my ships and fretting over rising C-Points costs in dilithium, when I get an email from BestBuy saying I have only 2 weeks left (of 3 months) to claim a free $10 reward certificate. I couldn't find anything else so I bought a $25 PW card for $15. That's 2000 C-points, for those not math-inclined. Then, one week later, they announce the 20% off sale.

Woohoo, I say. But then I realize 2000 points won't get me 2 ships, and I have to choose between science and tactical career officers.

While trying to decide, I figured I'd sleep on it... and the next day, they announced the 15% bonus Zen deal. So, I bought another $25 worth and got the bonus.

That means I got 4300 C-points for $35 (which normally would give 2800). Added to that I had 3.5 months stipend saved.

Thanks to that, I was able to buy:
      Defiant Retrofit
      Multi-Vector Advanced Escort
      Long-range Sci Retrofit
      Borg BOff for 1 Character
25 DOff slots for each of 6 chars

After that I had 256 points left, which I topped up to 320 with a dilithium sale and bought the Yellowstone Runabout (the engine is nice for my Capt. yacht).

Lots of people were complaining about the timing and lack of advance warning for the sales, but I've been waiting patiently for one to happen again and it couldn't have worked out better for me. I bought everything I've wanted and still have 99% of my dilithium saved up for next time, when I might buy the Odyssey pack. It's just a shame I wasn't more patient when I bought the DS9 bundle 2 days after it arrived, but those DOffs have been well-used so I can't complain too much. ;)

    I got Christmas at Easter!

(BTW, the emblem thing was good because while emblems unlocked a ship for ONE character, dilithium/C-points unlock it for ALL of them, so I don't have to only grind one career to get another ship option.)

i had just enough dylithium scraped together to convert to c-points to buy a MVAM escort.

quite possibly a waste of time and effort but meh it looks pretty

Been waiting for a while for the sale, so finally got my DS9 bundle and the Obligatory Tactical Escort and Sao Paulo to equip it on. With a few points I had left over I got the remainder of the LTC ships I didnt already have.

Thinking now everything else I buy will come from Stipend purely because all the ships I may have considered nice appear to be inbound via lockbox which I will not ever touch. Again I am sad that no kdf ships were bought as all my KDF are LG and I dont think I will be leveling another there for some time.

And for the something nice on the boards: Thank you Cryptic for the sale, it was most appreciated as I thought they were a thing of the past with lock boxes.

I'm a matter of days from my 600-day Vet reward, so my lone Klink will have his VA ship soon enough. Hard to justify depriving 2 or more Fed officers a choice of ship for my solo Klingon LTG, who is quite happy pew-pew-pewing in his Bird of Prey. The BoP thing is what made me want a cloaked Defiant in the first place. Shame it's not a battle cloak...

I did the math after I posted and realized I spent 2800 points worth of real money and ended up with 7000 points worth of virtual "stuff". It made me smile.
