... seems to be a rare kind of thing. These are the things I am looking for in a fleet. Maybe someone can point me to the right admiral?
- No teamspeak or voicechat or whatever. Text is the way I want to communicate.
- Focus on space combat. I am not interested in ground combat at all.
- PvP yes, though preferably in Ker'rat or the hypothetical future pen PvP... Arena and CoH are good for Dilithium grinding and testing builds, but I don't like how artificial they feel. PvE on Elite.
- Some RP should be in.
- International members, although some UTC+2-timezoners would be neat.
So... does such a fleet exist?
Edit: Oh, and one thing I forgot:
- Minimum fleet size of 20 members.

When me and my people are in a PvP, I am the commander. I tell them who to target and what tactics to use.
Stacking buffs or debuffs at the same time can be deadly. Fire on My Mark isn't just a Tactical Captain ability, it is a full on tactic overall. There's a lot of short duration buffs out there, 5, 10, 15 seconds. If you can coordinate a few people do stack all those in a short window at once, it is deadly. And not something that can really be done by typing only.
So for anyone looking for every last drop of performance in PvP, voice chat is really the only way to go.
So you will see a lot of Fleets pushing that.
I don't make it a requirement for my fleet to get on teamspeak unless it's PvP. STFs, HIGHLY preferred. But everyone should know what they are doing beforehand, so it's not the end of the world.
My members who do get on teamspeak do usually get more benefits as well. I'll spend more time explaining builds or offer more assistance. You make my life easier, and easier for me to help you, you get more out of it.
My question is, why are there so many people who avoid voice chat in this game? Most other online PC games, if you're a serious player, especially in PvP, you have a good quality headset. It's just one of those things, in my personal experience.
As a general question of inquiry and curiosity, why are you against voice chat?
I'm not the original poster but for some of us, voice chat is not an option. Neither is hearing voice chat.
Be that due to either a location in which we're playing the game or a physical issue that prevents us from doing so.
We take part in all aspects of the game and no voice chat is mandatory.
I tried it, and it just plain was going on my nerves. :-) In other words, you can easily ignore what is written on the screen if it is not of immediate interest to you, but try that with spoken words coming constalty out of your speakers. Some fleet member telling you about the latest stuff they want to tell everybody, some people asking if anyone is up for activity X, etc... it is just annoying on the long run.
Our RP Lead doesn't like voice either. Text only. prefers to keep outside conversations at a minimum.
Space combat/Ground Combat is balanced, but you don't have to participate in things you don't like.
We RP (with STF or PvP) where ever our Lead feels. Not interested in grinding or worried about builds...play what you like, not what everyone says is the Superman build.
Right now we've got 2 in the GMT +1
We are small (10 with Jevonite Order and Allied Reconstruction Forces).
