This is for everyone who makes a trailer or wants to show off teaser shots of their foundry missions for the Foundry Challenge #2.

Mine is here- it's just a teaser trailer. I'll probably make a real one as the release day nears.

The new trailer shows a glipse at a completely interior space map.
Took a long time to make but I'm really happy with it and the mission as a whole.

Only 10 more days before the release of all the Foundry Challenge #2 Missions!

If you're working on a mission, make sure you plug in your mission into the main Foundry Challenge forum to be part of the official entries!

I already spent a good week testing on olodeck under the title 'DO NOT PLAY THIS MISSION! IN TESTING!'

We can't release the official mission until April 18. Coming up next week.

I was lucky no one did, though in the last challenge there was one mission that did that and someone did play it.

I guess it isn't that big of a problem, he was still able to enter his mission. Good thing too cause it was a good mission!

I'm thinking about making a sample teaser mission for this though- just to show off my Borg interior space map. I had fun making it and it's a blast playing inside it. It's a shuttle mission so you really can't take the Borg face to face, you have to hide behind objects and keep moving, recharge and then head back out. You can also just run them in circles and loose them all together. Feals like a real space battle.

I'll post here if I end up making it.

So I just published a quick prequel teaser mission for my upcoming Foundry Challenge #2 entry 'A Good Ship Goes To War'

It's called 'A Good Ship Goes To War- Teaser' and it's really just a quick mission that lets you see the Borg internal space map in action.

Now this entry isn't my challenge entry, just a little playable commercial for it.

Impressive, I have not seen many interior space missions. From your trailer it looks absolutely magnificent. How did you do it?

You can take a look yourself to see it by playing the teaser mission 'A Good Ship Goes To War- Teaser' It's still in the review stage however cause I just posted it and it hasn't recieved the five first reviews.

But I used Borg Cubes to construct the walls. I maxed out the objects allowed in a single map to do it and it was a real pain to do- but the results I think are great. Because I designed it for shuttles (which aren't very strong) you really do have to use your surroundings to stay alive. Keep hiding behind things and circling to bring up your shieds and then attacking again.

Well that looks really interesting. I should give the teaser mission a try - btw: nice idea ;)

I as a player enjoyed the first foundry challenge a lot so I am looking forward to the second one.

Just another reminder for anyone who plays either the teaser or the actual mission on April 18th.

The pathing and enemy difficulty is set for shuttles.

You need a ship that is smaller and has a really good turn rate or you will find maps in this mission very hard to do. An escort should work fine, though you might find it slightly easy (maybe you should set the diff to advanced).

Thanks for the reviews so far. Helped me work on my main mission to improve it.
No thanks to the moron who gave a one with no reviews. I guess there's a Wesley on every ship and one of you in every game. (Give me a one is fine but only if you explain why)

You can watch the main mission trailer hare: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ye9e4nhdKUU

I just played the teaser and it does what a good teaser should do: Make the watcher or in this case player getting excited about the full movie/mission.

Yes, I am excited and looking forward to play the mission.

I've never played a shuttle Foundry Mission with proper Interior so may I ask if this is some new asset to the Foundry or did you create the cube interior yourself?

Yes, I created the Borg space interiors myself. The Borg is really the only faction you can do this with since they have large cubes you can use as walls.

I actually have a lot going against me. The mission is designed for a small ship with good turning. I warn people several times, but I know they'll be people who won't read that, play the game with a large ship and then give me a 1 star for making the maps impossible to fly in.

I planned on making the maps much larger- for any ship, but you can only use so many objects per map and so it had to be smaller.

In the end, I'm just hoping for a good crop of missions from everyone, that hopefully get some exposure from this event.
So amny good Foundry missions out there but no one plays them because their lost in the blackness of the Foundry Mission search list.

Make sure you put it in the opening dialog.

Bad thing that might happen is that the first person who does your mission gives you a 1 star and puts you at the bottom of the list of "hot missions"

SO I'm creating Klingon version of this mission. It obviously isn't part of the Challenge, but I'm always leaning more on Klingon content so I decided to create a Klingon mission.

So, I created a Klingon teaser episode now called: A Klingon Ship- Teaser

The full mission 'A Good Klingon Ship Goes To War' will come out April 26th.
The teaser is a simple port of the Fed mission, but the Klingon mission will be different.

The Klingon teaser is on holodeck already, though it still needs the five reviews to enter the main list.

So the Foundry Challenge is only coming out April 25th now.

Sad news, but it gives me another week to tweak the mission.
Who knows maybe I'll be able to finish the Klingon mission and release that early since it's not with the Foundry Challange.

The Klingon mission, takes place in the same time loop and space, but is a completly different viewpoint of the mission. Most maps and objectives will be different.

Well, it might not be for the Foundry Challenge, but I'm realeasing a Klingon mission that accompanies with my Foundry Challenge mission.

It's now live (though it still needs it's 5 reviews)

A KLINGON SHIP GOES TO WAR

This shows a back-story for the upcoming Foundry Challenge mission.

You are sent into the Kern System to capture a Federation officer who alone in a shuttle.
Instead a rift is opened and you are transported 2o years into the future.

---THIS MISSION IS MADE FOR SMALL SHIPS WITH GOOD TURNING RATE--
--EITHER PLAY WITH A SHUTTLE ON NORMAL, OR A SHIP ON ADVANCED FOR FULL PLAY EXPERIENCE--

I think it's just 'Borg conduit'. Just do a search for 'Borg' in general if that's not it. I know it's around the bottom of the list I think. The main thing is that the preview picture in the little box doesn't actually show it- you only see a little thingy. Put it into the map and you'll see the whole big thing.

For interior map, you'll have to use the Borg Chroniton. I just went in to see. The conduit is only for space maps I believe.

    MISSION UPDATE 1.1

A player was unable to play the mission but I think I solved the problem.
Strange cause I played it several times without any issues.

Please post any problems here if you find any.
