After careful thought, the Tribbles name is horrible...

Unless it's a play on words describing Q. You know. He is kind of a.... Q's IDIC Tribble.

Kinda like that NASCAR joke, about the old racer TRIBBLE Trickle.

I'm happy for French and German players, this localisation has been a long time coming.

On a side note, what does 0.02 health regen actually eqaute to in game? The tac and engi buffs look cool but the sci one seems a bit underwhelming.

    That´s great news ! :)

Umm, how exactly can I have all three buffs on me if the buff is dependant on my profession ?

I thought that too, unless the buffs somehow stack across multiple characters you've created.

The KDF has Tribble handlers? That must be the worst possible job available...a punishment post, like DEW line duty in Alaska!

It's a team buff. Useful for STFs.

    Dear Cryptic,

Why can't you announce QXP weekends further in advance? I've gotta work throughout this entire QXP Weekend...AGAIN. Now, if you had announced this three weeks ago, I would have been able to take a day off during this QXP Weekend to take advantage of it for a change.

    Signed,

As an American, who only speaks English, and just barely enough Spanish and German to find a bathroom, all I can say is "THANK YOU."

While Star Trek itself is one of America's "Crown Jewels", it, like all cherished works of art, belongs to the world. Trekkies (or Trekkers if you prefer) come from all walks of life, in every part of the world.

I thought that Star Trek Online's "English Only" language policy (dictated, I believe, by Cryptic's former taskmasters, Atari), was arrogant, and I felt that issuing punishments for using languages other than English was absurdly draconian, and so "Un-Trek" as to be laughable if it weren't so offensive. I for one am glad that this shortsighted and ridiculous policy has finally come to an end.

I am so happy about this.. I really am. :)

Welcome back, everyone.. take your shoes off and make yourselves at home!

I don't get it. The game has been available in EU ever since its initial release. Worldwide F2P relaunch was in Janurary.

What's so special about today? Did I miss anything?

I am Spanish, that country is in Europe, not Africa or America or where you think, what you speak of Cryptic? At what is this nonsense of saying that is the weekend in Europe? You have to say it's the weekend in France and Germany, which is all that you care. When you put the option to search for Spanish in the Foundry? Promising it bear more than one year. And now do you get this nonsense, more imagination for new missions. Ahhh How's that saying about putting Dsthal more languages in the game? 'Another lie?. Deleting will follow messages that are not only in English and then you come to this.

Question: I use the Twitter Dev Tracker. Am I always going to get 3 notices for everything now?
ie 1 English one I can read, 1 French and 1 German I can't read.

Yep. I'll talk to Forum Master StormShade to see if there is something that can be done :) I think this happened in the past though when we had the FR/ DE forums.

    Cheers,

It's great to finally see Cryptic paying some attention to European players, god knows i've kicked up enough fuss about our treatment in past threads. I hope this is a taste of things to come, and not the end. I'm not seeking preferential treatment because I'm European, but I am looking to be treated equally, with all entitlements therein as a subscriber (who by the way pay's twice an American would for theirs). Because as the past has shown, Europeans do tend to get shafted on quite a bit in this game (maintenance often happens at prime time here, excluded from design the enterprise competition, etc).

So +1 on the effort so far Cryptic, its a foot in the right direction. :D

I am assuming all languages from the EU are catered for and not just French and German?

It would be a bit silly calling it and EU updated if they aren't....
