It will allow you to turn 1000 unrefined Dilithium into 1000 Refined. Ahah I knew it! Sounds awesome :)

    yay, more inventory clutter.

Seriously, can we get an alternative? Either summonable from the bank, at least, or just do away with the inventory item altogether?

*don't care for titles that nobody has active in the UI anyway
*don't care for dancing monkey pets (what does this have to do with Star Trek again?)
i guess that is for another audience.... 13 year old girls that go *oooh cute!* maybe? ... i don't know.

i'd rather have the combat pet for my 800 days and give the dancing monkey pet to the C-Store... oh well i guess the combat version will sell better.

I really love the DOff System,
and i think it's nice of you to allow us to refine an extra 500 per day, that seems to be the real Vet reward here.

but can you PLEASE not have this block a DOff assignment slot for 2 days?
make it a 10 minute assignment with a 2 day COOLDOWN, but please not duration?

(or just up the number directly and don't force us to log in every 2 days to grab an assignment? i mean 800 DAYS... whooo!)

but it's not like i would reach 8000 with any of my 9 chars regularly anyway

    thank you

Assuming a day long cooldown, that's an Extra 333 Dil per day. I called it not being a lot, and yet people insisted they were getting bumped to like 16k a day.

As mentioned in the blog, this Mugato is the only version we will be making for the foreseeable future, subject to change of course -- there is no combat version for the C-Store planned. 800-Day Vets will be the only players with any form of Mugato.

Since Star Trek Online launched in February 2010, we have thanked our loyal subscribers and lifetime members through the Veteran’s Rewards program.

Honestly, I'd rather have my 700 day vet reward of a female android finally available than any of these 800 day rewards. Oh well, countdown to 900 and wait... :(

Free stuff is always nice. The free 1K delithium is nice, considering I've got 10 toons an extra 10K for doing nothing is cool.

Honestly 1000k dilithium extra refined every two days is a bit of a joke. it doesn't even really warrant the trip to SFA to get it. Now make it 8000k every three days and there you have something that's worth it assuming you have 8000k unrefined extra stored up.

I believe that the 1,000 extra dilithium refining capability every 2 days is not really a useful reward at all.

I remember mention of "advanced refinement stations" early on in the forums when talking about dilithium implementation. Maybe this is an opportunity for that? so that a success is 1250 and a crit success is 2000 and normal is 1000? that way the mission would be worth something :)

Im not usually a forum poster and I honestly dont want to sound whinny. I really LOVE the doff system and think dilithium has been a smart addition. However I have only once or twice ever reached the 8,000 dilithium a day cap and that was a spring break weekend with nothing to do all day. and it was no big deal because it just waited for me to refine the next day so thats why i believe it to not be useful as described earlier

Worthless pet is still worthless. It doesn't matter a bit how unique the item is, if it has no function in the game. Someone will see the pet, look at it for 5 seconds, then completely forget about it. This is hardly a reward for someone who has paid for the game for 800 days. It is a placebo, and isn't fooling anyone.

    Err not to nit-pick but 1k = 1,000
    1000k = 1,000,000

    Just a friendly FYI ;)

Combat Mugatos will be a Lockbox item ;)

Yeah overall I'd say this is the most disappointing Vet Reward ever, from any Cryptic game.

A non-combat pet that takes up a inventory slot (seriously, this can't just be made a captain power like all our accolade buffs and such? I don't need to carry around my 30 action figures in Champions in order to summon them).

Then once every two-Days we can refine 1,000 additional Dilithium?! Not even every 20h? It had to be 2 days?

Very disappointed. Would trade it all in for 300 C-Points or Boff Slots...

While I do enjoy the games various Eye-candy, I have to agree with you, Maybe a free upgrade to a combat version for the Vets if a combat version ever comes out? While also leaving the pet version exclusive to Veterans

Please, stop this cluttering, why can't pets become an ability?

Unless...and this is probable...Cryptic is almost forcing us to by more bank and invetory space, there is no reason why pets should not be converted into abilities, instead of invetory space.

You are absolutely right... On average its been about 25k dilithium for 100 c points. Which is around a dollar... so take that 1k dilithium... So when you do the math what they are saying in relativity of dilithium vs c-points for your hard earned money that you either pay monthly or bought an LTS they are going to give you 5 cents extra worth of dilithium per day! These guys are so generous who would have ever thought they would give back some of those nickels from the nickel and diming but we know its a business so you had to keep the dimes :) ROFL.

Oh well, another useless inventory item, pointless title no-one reads, and a paltry amount of dil. You're so appreciative of us Cryptic.

Adult Mugatos will grow horns on their heads and spines on their backs.

7' tall Mugato with horns, fangs, claws, spines and combat enabled please. Thank you.

Mugatos are canon. One was in TOS. Also non combat pets are a staple in mmorpgs . Why are you complaining? No one is going to force you to claim the pet.

Im with the concencess here, a combat pet would be better, the titles I dont really use, and the most dil I had to refine at once was like 3 or 4K when I had a bunch of Doffs come in.

People seem to forget that you do NOT have to give anything to us for 800 days.

Geez I'll bet half these people smacked their momma if their Xmas presents where not what they wanted!

I don't think anyone's forgotten that fact. You are right, they don't have to give people anything for being steadfast loyal customers for years on end, while the game did poorly.

Neither do they have to pay for that same game, now that it is free to play, and they lose very little if anything for going Silver. When something ceases to be worth the investment, and is largely still available free.. it is an easy decision. Especially considering the worth of the 800 day "rewards".

I think they could afford to give out a little more Dilithium than 1k every 2 days seriously! Please add more... maybe 1k for normal, 2k for success, and 3-4k for Critical success... that would make it a lot more worth it.

Can we get a pet gallery or something on our ships? I have so many non-combat pets (ground and space)... it'd be nice to drop em in a petting zoo on my ship and clear bank inventory space.

Most other MMOs handle the collectable non-combat pets a bit smoother...

If you guys don't like the 800 day rewards, don't subscribe for 800 days. Cryptic can reward loyalty(and money) with TRIBBLE all they want and there will always be people who will pay for it. You still have the same gaming experience that you had before PW gave Cryptic the "make money any way you can, especially by gouging the players" doctrine.

Nevermind that subscribing for 800 days since the start of F2P nets you over 10,000 C-points (enough to buy both of the Odyssey and Bortasqu packs with change left over). If you cry that you're already paying for them via subscription then don't. Go silver, buy the c-points instead. It's cheaper that way.

    So far, we've lost:

    A free Delta Flyer.
An immediate token for a retrofit ship at VA. (Zomg we have to spend a few days grinding dilithium for it and still not pay any real cash? OHNOES)

    Have I missed anything?

Oh by the way, some F2P MMOs actually monetize by selling playable content while leaving only the barest bones for non paying players. Imagine featured episodes costing money. Or the doff system only being accessible for C-Points. I'll take lock box lotteries any day of the week.

Thanks for the Dev Blog Brandon. Here are my thoughts/comments:
    Vigilant Title
I like and "collect" titles, so having another is always nifty. I thought it rather hilarious the idea that you found it necessary to give us a step-by-step instruction-set on how to change our title. If a player has been around 800 days and hasn't figure out how to change their own title by now (or at least how to find out/who to ask), then maybe they just don't deserve it. lol

I mean it's not like titles are a new feature. :p

    FREE Mugato Companion
I want to like this, I really do, but I'm running out of space. Please consider using a system like Champions Online where their Action Figure "pets" do not take up character inventory, but are activated directly through a menu-driven UI. It basically turns the pet into an emote, instead of a cell-filling item. (Also take from CO, having multi-tab personal banks, and shared account banks would be great, too!)

From the blog pic it sure looks cute, though. :o

    Unique Duty Officer Assignment
Being a big-time DOffer, I was really looking forward to this, but you're only letting me process an extra 1,000 Dilithium? That's underwhelming. How long is the Cooldown on the mission, or am I going to be able to restart it every two days? Speaking of the two days, is it going lock up one of my Assignment Slots for two days? I'm with CptBANG, could we please have a single 10-min lengthed mission (or even 1 or 2 hours) with a 2-3 day long cooldown?

Failing that, can this please be like a Sick Bay and not count towards our assignment limit? That would be keen.

Anyway, I really am not trying to "complain" about "gifts of appreciation", just providing some feedback, so maybe when I hit 800 days (in about 45 days), I can better enjoy them. :D
P.S. What I'd love to have most for my 800 day?
I'd like the Female Tactical Android BOff you guys gifted me
for my 700 Day Vet Reward. :o

I wish the Mugato could fight along side me. It's a nice pet and gift. I will be getting mine in 10 days!

I agree with the general sentiments though, we are running out of inventory space! Something needs to be done!
