Looking for casual fleet

Hello All,

I am new to the game since the F2P conversion and have so far finished the episodes, obtained the rank of VA (4250 accolade points and counting), 1650 skill points in crafting, and am now looking for a fleet to join. My ideal fleet would be a friendly mature bunch focused on mainly PVE activities and maybe some light RP thrown in for good measure (I would be doubly interested if you have a Bajoran Militia division).

About me:

More than a bit geeky with a penchant for making lame jokes and have argued on more than one occasion which is the best ‘Trek’ (it’s DS9 btw :P). I’m in Pacific Time zone (GMT – 7) and try to play as often as I can (1-2 hrs during the evening on weekdays and 1-2 hrs during the morning to early afternoon on weekends).

Here’s my in-game bio:

“Starfleet Personnel File: Tahna Sul
Rank: Vice Admiral
Diplomatic Rank: Consul
Current Assignment: Commanding Officer, U.S.S. Vanquish (Defiant Class)
Date of Birth: Stardate 46079.1

Tahna Sul was born to a family of Bajoran resistance fighters during the twilight of the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor. Her father was the involved with the Kohn-Ma Resistance Cell and her mother was from the Paqu village. Tahna Sul possesses a strong sense of Bajoran nationalism (displayed in her insistence to wear the uniform of the Bajoran Militia) and a deep-rooted faith in the 'Prophets' (see wormhole aliens).

When she was of age, she underwent the training to become a Vedek. Shortly after she completed her training and took her vows she joined a growing number of younger Vedeks to rebuild an order in the Dakhur province. During the occupation this order of Vedeks had been known to provide aid to the members of the Shakaar resistance cell. As a result many of the order's members were prosecuted by the Cardassians and sent to ore processing on Deep Space Nine (then Terok Nor) or were immediately murdered.

Since the breakdown of the Khitomer Accords and the ensuing war with the Klingons, her order has come under fire from the Vedek Assembly as many of its members, including Tahna Sul, have joined the rank and file of Starfleet in an effort to help protect Bajor, combat the spread of the Klingon empire, and work with other members of the Bajoran Coalition to extradite Cardassian war criminals that have yet to be prosecuted for their crimes during both the Occupation and the Dominion War. To date Tahna Sul has been responsible, both directly and indirectly, in bringing 6 Guls, 3 former members of the Obsidian Order, and 57 Bajoran collaborators to justice.”

If I seem like a good fit for your fleet please feel free to reply to this post or message me in game at tahna@hapiface.

Thanks and may the prophets guide you :)

If you are over 30 years young you may think about the TOS Veterans Fleet. Don’t let the TOS fool you, the Fleet is inclusive and the idea behind the TOS is that it is the show we grew up with and it is closet to our hearts. In other fleet members their TOS may be TNG or in your case DS9 and they can wear whatever uniform they wish.

The important thing for us is the mature (30+) fleet that is relaxed, casual and social first. Please think about us as a possible home for your captain. Check out our website by clicking on my signature image below.

Greetings, I invite you to check out the 44th. We are casual age 18+ fleet. We have a teamspeak server, but there is no requirement to use it (although it is helpful when running STFs). We are relatively small, but are gradually building our ranks. We are mostly PVE oriented, but we do occasionally do some PVP in Ker'rat. We don't do much RP, although we certainly don't have any rules against it either. Not sure if this would be a deal breaker for you. I,myself, am on PST and am usually online late nights.

You can check us out at startrek.44thfleet.com and see if we will be a good fit.

I just joined TOS Veterans and we are going to run an all day event on UK Primetime this evening. If you want to check us out feel free to contact me in game or PM me.

I like the way you wrote your character background, the way it ties in to DS9 and STO's storyline bears a rather uncanny and realistic feel. STO's development for the past month or two seems to be very DS9-centric anyway!

I would also like to mention that TOS Veterans has a lot of writing expertise (hell they are well established gentlemen after all!) and while I only just got started to know Mister Bailey above, managed to write quite a lot for their guild in just 20 minutes of fanfic-writing discussion.

Here's a bit for you to read in the TOS Veterans' forum, in case your bored lol

    Ouch!!!!

You make Cardassians look like demons. We certainly have a different take on what took place during that time period. As it is the Maquis that conducted more "terrorist" activities than the Cardassians. What about those "war criminals"?? (in character)

    OOC:

Well, good luck finding a fleet. Hope you find the right fit for you. Good write up.

Your character certainly has a lot pf parallels to my own, and better written to boot. If you find a fleet thatyou like i might feel inclined to join you for some Bajoran action.

Thanks for the responses and praise for my write up everyone!

No matter which fleet I choose I'm sure it will be good fit with the welcome I've received thus far!

    RE: Kommando,

I'll be looking into the different fleets and I'll let you know which one I go with. Send me a friend request/message in-game so I can give you a heads up :)

Don't believe everything Central Command has written in your history books. Just look at all the Bajoran artifacts that your government appropriated, all the orphans they left behind, and all the Bajoran families that have lost loved ones to the occupation. Not to mention the farmlands in north are only now starting to produce crops the manner in which they did before the Cardassisans came to Bajor. As for the Marquis, they were fighting for their homes. One man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter; and no matter the species or faction, nothing is stronger than that. Was Legate Dumar a terrorist when he finally stood up to the Dominion or was he a hero to your people? (/ IC)
