The Captains Ready Room Door never got fixed before it got released since testing it stays open also the Turbolift brings you to the transporter pad when you come from one of the other 2 decks. Since we are paying 2k to 4k for theses ships it be nice that the new fancy bridge worked correctly. There has also been no mention of a fix for this yet.
Really like this bridge. It totally looks like it belongs on the biggest Starfleet ship every built.
And as for all of you who are yelling about them not fixing the door, just remember that they had two since it went to tribble before rolling it out. If it was a major issue like the drive section sitting wrong with the saucer the yes, complain, but it's a freaking door; how often are you going to use it anyways? You should be asking about designing a new ready room instead of leaving the generic one in place. Now that I think about it, that may be the reason why the door doesn't close.
Windows, on a starship....a warship no less, scares the heck out of me, lol
Not sure I'd wanna be on the bridge when the shields fail and a torpedo or energy weapon hits one of those windows!
For what it's worth, Federation starship windows are made of transparent aluminum, which is an extremely tough metal. Once you've got the structural integrity field running through those bad boys, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Even if there's a hull breach, there's the emergency force fields we saw in Nemesis.
And for you, I was in Tribble when it gone up and this been reported in the day the bridge gone up and what did we get?
Silence ...
Fact is this Bridge have issues, a non-functional door is STILL a non functional door and that is just one of the issues.
Wasn't a rant. Was actually trying to get people to calm down over something so small. But if you feel the need to make it and the fact that Cryptic didn't drop everything to come out and make a special forum post titled, "Yes, we know the door doesn't close but we've only got two days before it and Klingon flagship roll out; we're really busy so we may not get to it" an issue then don't let me stop you.
And as for the windows, remember in First Contact how there was a bulkhead covering a hatch? Same thing could be going on here. Ship goes to red alert, shutters close.
What is with you guys and having to make the inside of bridges and interiors in gen the size of damn planets ? really you loose all immersion in the game when you walk into the hall way and it feels as big as a damn walmart. You guys should be held more liable to keeping with the star trek theam in gen and quit trying to make a damn tashmahal out of every interior you come with.
The bridge does look nice but its functionality is nill if you need a damn megaphone just to talk to your helm officer.
MVAM bridge so far is your guys best just simply because the scale of it looks a hell of alot better. This is not a damn starbase. hell even the bridge on DS9 was not this big. =X
How much are you guys willing to bet that when those shields fail and the torpedo comes flying towards the bridge...Everyone will rush for the door. Only to find that it doesn't open. Would make a very bad day for any Federation Captain. How do they expect to live when that torpedo hits?
Well, if Star Fleet makes the hallways big. First, it uses less material to build. And it gets rid of that claustrophobic feeling you get when on a star ship.

Well no one else has said it so I will: No BLUE LCARS! I can ignore a non-working door for that
As for the size thing: I'm fine with it, feels right for a ship of this size frankly and really should be manned by a lot more bodies than there is now. I'd imagine the sets for the shows are the size they are because of staging, lightning, and budget concerns primarily. I can't really see star fleet going: Let's make this bridge smaller so we can get the boom in without it showing up into the camera >.>
Wonder if this is the thread for this question, but I for one would love and appreciate if you would fill up more empty bridge crew chairs in our Odyssey bridges. I got the 3 set packet one for the feds, and I noticed more emptied bridge chairs than filled ones.
Just thought I'd mention this in hope Perfect World/Cryptic dev's would make it a near future additions?
Thing looks like the largest bridge yet. What cracks me up the most is the transporter pad on the bridge. have we decided instead of scaling back interiors to instead justify them as is? Why a huge bridge? well it dos double as our main transporter room! My god man, imagine the traffic. Bing! extra wide staircases! now we are talking.

In Nemesis Picard lost an ensign when the bridge got hit. they had to have an emergency forcefield deal the bridge when the view screeen was converted into a hullbreach.
IMO.... yeah STUPID design feature. I'd stick the bridge int he heart of the ship close to engineering.
But I digress.... it's pretty!
Question will this bridge be available for old oddy or just new oddy?
EDIT: re-read first post, not available on the old oddy.
Yep, that's all the free Od gets, Just the free odd. I still think we should at least get the new bridges for both the KDF and FED ships instead of getting the old bait and switch at least..

EDIT: The bridge IS bugged, and feedback wasn't listened to...was just pointing that out...

Can we see more wallpapers instead please?
Nice bridge though.

This is Star Trek Online, with the emphasis on money and grab bags and the C-Store and Dilithium Store... it could be both!
