Greetings.

This will be my first real foray into the forums, and I felt it was appropriate to display some of the stuff I have created, re-created or edited over the years, and share it with other Trekkie's like myself.

Here is the link to my trek gallery on DeviantArt:

There are a few starship concepts, console diagrams, and some animated displays here. Feel free to look at the rest of my gallery as well, and even find me on STO

I like most of that. I don't really like the partial saucer on your destroyer though, I've always thought of the saucer on the ship to contain a particle accelerator. <eye twitch>

The partial saucer was more of a style choice, taking some inspiration from the Akyazi-class. Also, with the partial saucer, the aft hull section would allow the nacelles to branch directly off of it easier, than if the pylons came off the saucer. Granted, a version of this class with a full saucer isn't impossible, and I may very well design a full-saucered version later. I appreciate your opinions.

I am a bit confused at the particle accelerator comment. The inward-cut section of the saucer contains the deflector dish. I have always been confused by starship designs that seem to have no deflector dish (they worked around this with the Miranda-class, I would like to see how they workaround the Constellation-class... perhaps thats why its not included in the game.

This is just a personal thing of mine, I don't know if it's canon at all. I've always imagined a particle accelerator running around the saucer. I mean, they're round, and it's a good place to put it. They might be making their own antimatter in there or something. That's how we make it today.

OH, I gotcha, lol. Y'know, that actually makes sense, now that you mention it. Perhaps not in the realm of Star Trek, but for the sake of possible spacecraft we may use sometime in the future. You should draft up a proposal to NASA. Lord knows, they need some decent spacecraft ideas, now that the Shuttles are no more.

There was a game called Independence War that employed this idea in their ship designs. You'd end up with a fleet of pancake ships flying around, pretty fun stuff. It's one of few games that had me read the instruction manual front to back just for all the ideas they had. The ships also had a couple guns on them, the one on the right aiming forward and the one on the left back. The energy from the particle accelerator would just curve off to the gun when you wanted to fire. You can see them in the image I linkied.

It's now on GOG I think. Very much worth it if you don't mind older games.

    Thanks :D
1701-A era happens to be my favorite all the way around. The only negative point I have about it is the uniforms. I'd prefer if they did a variation of TMP's uniforms, rather than the "monster maroons"

Thanks for sharing this :) It was neat to look over this artwork...
This post beats people's typical "contributions" in the forums.

Well, I am not going to claim any kind of superiority over anyone else's posts. Everyone has something legitimate to say, and its all worth looking at, if not responding to.

Thank you though, I appreciate it. I love sharing stuff ^_^
