New ships

Something my brother and I often talk about is what ships we'd like to see added to STO, so now I ask you fellow STO player the same question:

What ships would you like to see added to STO, with what abilities (if you have any ideas) and why?

me:
- Janeway's shuttle from "Endgame" (with ablative armour)
- The Wells class timeship
- Scout ship from Insurrection
- USS Typhon from Invasion (with Valkyrie fighters)
- Borg Diamond
- USS Dauntless from Voyager

    Janeways shuttle would be nice, although they could just add the Type 9, since they are so similar in looks.

    The Wells could be great if used in a Time travel FE or something, but it shouldn't be a player ship IMHO.

    Pretty sure the scout ship will make it in eventually (I think Armade refered to it as the venture class if memory serves)

    Doubt we'll see the Typhoon due to the copyrights, would be nice to see it though :-)

    The Borg Diamond is already made (in the foundry) and will be in the STF 'Into the Hive', no clue when that STF is coming out mind ;-)

    Would love to see the Dauntless as well, we saw it in 'Azati Prime' as a Starfleet ship as well, so even though it wasa fake in VOY, it may well of been a copied design the alien used :-)

    I'd love to see the Ambassador and Vesta in game (I know they are trying to get these in already). Ideally though, I think they just need to focus on the Klingon ships right now to bring it completely onpar with the Federation side, I also think they should stop adding player ships as well tbh, we already has a very bloated system, would rather have the environmental artists focus on creating new social zones and systems instead of ships :-)

    Definitely would like to see more content for KDF especially missions (they are sorely lacking in PvE content as it stands). Ships... we have plenty. Dauntless would be nice, but is it necessary? Quite a number of newer ships in the pipeline already.

    I agree, the problem is though that the Feds have so many cannon ships that havn't been added (yet?) whereas the Klingons have always had a far more limited selection in terms of cannon.

    and yeah, although I don't want them to stop adding new ship, they should atleast hold off untill they've added more places for us players to fly them around.

    I'd want to see (finally) the K'vort for KDF. Possibly with some kind of siege mode like the nausican destroyer has the influences the wings.

    but I'm not saying any of these ships need to be added, they're just ones I'd like to see if it were possible. but yes, we do already have an abundance of playable fed ships atm

    I too would also like to see the Wells class Timeship, but I agree with Suricata (I seem to be doing that alot recently :D ) in that I think it should be a non-player controllable ship.

    The Venture class Scout would also be cool, and I would suggest it should/could be made a great "starter ship" along with the Runabout.

    I too love the Typhon class Assault Carrier from Invasion! And IMH&HO, if I designed a ship that made it into a game, I would want my ship to be used in other games (and in the shows/movies) so that the hard work and programming that went into designing and creating it could be used and enjoyed for far longer than the life spam of the game in which it originally appears. :)

    I would like to see all the canon ships, although I know they're planning on it and some are already on the way -
    Ambassador class........ New Orleans, Freedom, and Niagara classes (by May 2012)........
    (A Dev on these forums (although I can't remember who nor could I find the post to quote it) said something along the lines that they "plan to eventually get all canon ships into the game, so long as it makes sense to do so". - If anyone knows to which post I am refering, please feel free to provide the quote. ;) Thanks.)
    Even if, again, they are non-player controllable ships, at least then they could be included into any UGC Wolf359/Dominion War missions.
    The Ambassador, New Orleans, Freedom and Niagara classes have already been mentioned. But there's also the Challenger class (not to be confused with this one), the Springfield class, the Constellation class and both the Steamrunner and Norway classes (which imho I don't think should have been left out/replaced). ;)

    same here. for one thing the Wells class would be too OP :p

    as for the Venture; maybe not a starter ship, but definitely a nother small ship atleast.

    Whatever happened to the idea of having a fleet starbase? Fleets could pool their resources to get services added. 10 million EC to establish trade routes and get a merchant with good sell prices, that sort of thing.

    T5 Constitution. With the special engineering console that activates the "I'm givin her all she's got cap'n" which essentially duplicates that ENG captain power that boosts all power levels.

    T2 Daedalus. No special consoles. It's a Daedalus.

    T1.5 Miranda (or Soyuz class, the Bozeman right?) with an extra console that let's you do an extra abandon ship, and duplicate the whole bozeman thingie from that episode, blowing up again and again and again.

    A T5 Wambundu. With a special console that doubles your cargo space when equipped.

    The Ferengi Shuttle.

    The Ferengi Marauder.

    And to complete the set, an idea I've seen others post: A T3.5 alternate Stargazer/Cheyenne/4 Nacelle ship, the Constellation class. With the Picard Manuever as its special ability.

    I think the Dauntless would make a good Tier 6 Science ship for when they make those available with the level cap increase.

    T5 Vort'cha (account wide) and compatable with other Vort'cha costumes
