I noticed that also, but I also upgraded my Graphic Card before the Patch. This was happening to me this morning (EST) way before the Patch.

I rolled back the drivers on my Radeon HD 5700 and I sent messages over twitter to AMD and to the official STO page. Radeon actually responded to me and said they'd look into it.

I thought it was an AMD Radeon issue, since there wasn't a patch out yet and I updated my drivers. Since rolling back, and since the new patch, I haven't experienced any issues.

Mines shaking in tactical view game ran fine until the last crash/patch tried rebooting and resetting the video settings to low with no effect.

ok so i rolled back my drivers for amd and this seems to have fixed the issue partially, theres still a few squares hanging about. however i now have another problem.. for some reason i can zoom the camera all the way out but it wont let me zoom in with the mouse wheel

I have the same problem as mustangpowered. Logged in a little while ago (first time since the patch) and noticed severe camera shaking in the tactical view. The ground view is fine, only space seems to be affected. In addition, from certain angles, the camera shaking goes away, but a slight change of angles and the screen shakes yet again. I tried moving from sector space to a system, but it still gave me a problem initially. Then after waiting a minute or two, it stopped shaking altogether for a little while, but soon started up again.

I've noticed that using the mouse scroll wheel to zoom out and back in fixes the issue, but as Silent_Knight, now I seem unable to zoom fully in using the scroll wheel. It zooms out all the way, but then stops at a certain point when I try to zoom in. What could be causing this?

Those pics are exactly what I experienced. You may want to let AMD Radeon know about it as well. I never snagged a screen shot and just rolled back.

Exactly the same issue here. Updated my drivers when I logged on this morning and got this

Was going to roll the drivers back but from what I have read it doesn't seem that it will fix the issue. Should I roll back anyways?

Rolling back the driver might not be working but completely uninstalling it and cleaning you computer of it does. I just wiped the new driver and installed the previous 1 and it worked like a charm.

I experienced this too, but only on one of my characters. I'll have to check to see if it's the zoom level causing it for me. Oh, and I have an Intel chipset on my laptop so it might not be driver specific.

Try to do a system restore and restore your PC to a time before you updated the drivers. Unless you're comfortable cleaning the driver out, and such, on your own. Restore might be the easiest bet.

It's possible that it might be only certain series of the cards

Okay got the blocky behaviour in skyrim so rolled back, so it's defiantly a AMD issue.

Guys I tried the fix that was posted above: Go into graphics options-> scroll to bottom and click on troubleshooting--> the first item on the list will show your graphics card -> SELECT your graphics card with the "DX11beta" next to it's description. Then hit "apply" and restart game!

This stopped all of the screen corruption and artifacts for me...besides that, the game looks a little better now and I didn't have to roll back anything. :)

I am glad you were able to use the DX 11b.I am still not able too.The only way I was able too get rid of the artifacts was too disable anti-aliasing and lower the shadows. When I set DX 11b the mouse is was off target and the screen shrinks.

The screenshots posted earlier mirror my exact situation. I'm using an AMD Radeon card, too, and it updated its drivers tonight, along with the STO patch. I didn't know what happened at first; I assumed driver problems and reinstalled them. Still nothing. Then I looked at some of my other programs, which run fine. Finally I ended up here, and I tried turning off anti-aliasing. Worked like a charm; no problems now. Still, I hope this is something that can be fixed, as I'd hate to just leave AA off forever.
