Never been a fan of pineapple and ham as a combination off pizza, why would I like it on one of my favorite foods. You might as well ask me to eat a banana. I gag at the smell of a banana, and I will toss my cookies at the taste one.
As an Italian-American I never eat that kind of pizza, if it doesn't come with tomato sauce and cheese.
Heck, I won't even eat the all white pizza with veggies as they make it in northern Italy and that's a proper Italian recipe.
Sometimes the foods we love to eat can have deep emotional connections. I remember eating pizza with my family many times growing up. And in High School and college with my friends. And later, with my wife. I cannot remember one time eating a slice of pizza and connecting it to a bad experience.
But it does come with tomato sauce and cheese! As for bananas, you may just be not eating them at the right ripeness.
