I published a mission called Cardassian Lock Boxes and just updated it, it is far more fun. All levels can play it.
It has had 5 star ratings and 1 star. It is a mission with light hearted humour not everyone will like it. It is not laughing at Cryptic, at least that is not the intention.
I wanted to ask if anyone was interested in playing it and feeding back how hard the battle parts are. It can be hard to gauge what other players like when your a 700 day vet with an away team well kitted out.
Should I play it with the most basic weapons and tweak it so that it is easy enough for that kind of player or should I make it a decent challenge for a VA level team as I said, well kitted out including XII weapons?
This is probably the part I struggle with the most when making a foundry mission.
Create your mission on the same "standard" difficulty as the other missions in game. Why? Because that is the difficulty level that most people are used to playing and will in fact be expecting when they play a Foundry mission. If people want it to be harder they can use the difficulty slider. But if you force it on them you are going to get bad ratings.

"Easy" is a matter of opinion. I simply suggest you make it the same difficulty as the official missions and let people choose to make it harder for themselves with the difficulty slider if they want to.
If you think your away team is overly powerful then do all your testing on Elite. It doesn't matter how good your team is, Elite will give you a challenge.
If it's balanced right on Elite then it should be do-able on other difficulties by people with lesser equipment and/or skills.
