Looking for a Fleet... still

So, I've been bumming around STO mostly solo since launch, I've tried a few fleets but so far nothing has been a good fit, even started one, which went well until the content drought sapped our nembers. I've figured, to get more out of STO, joining a good fleet would help.

What do I mean good fleet? Well, nothing exceptional or large, just something active, especially the "command" staff of the fleet (frustrating when you never see these people when you have questions etc). Events are nice but not really a big deal for me. I do RP occasionally but its not something I'd need, nice though.

Now, about me (make way for my ego, back up a bit, further...). I'm not going to put myself through your "academy/cadet/crewman/ensign" business, I've been around since beta, have a guide stickied on the Academy forum and have run hundreds of succesfull STF's, optionals included. I'm not expecting to be made the Fleet Admiral, but I've had enough hassle from poeple playing the game for 2 weeks thinking I have no idea what I'm on about because I'm a "cadet/ensign/etc" that I'm not going to deal with that again. I certainly don't need to learn how to play and I've been an officer/leader in guilds from other games that I don't need to learn about that either. However, if fleet advancement requires a little testing, I'm down with that.

I am helpful, I'm not gonna drop everything everytime, but if I'm free and someone needs a hand, I'll be setting a course their way. Don't expect a lot of EC out of me for the bank, but I often don't sell my loot and give it away instead, so I'd be putting that in your bank (though I will save a stash for my ESD giveaways on special occasions, I just like doing them). I'd only be taking something if I was levelling an alt and even then I wouldn't take much, unless you have a stash of Mk XII v. rare phaser arrays...

I don't like voice chat, my wife HATES me using voice chat too, so she wins. In rare circumstances I might use it for a specific objective with the fleet, but even the elite STF's can be completed easily without VC if it's planned well enough.

I do have a storage fleet populated by my alts and a friends alts, I won't be ditching that.

So yeah, that all seems a bit much and quite specific, but I figured finding the right fleet is something worth doing right. I'd rather you talked to me too, I like to hear about your fleet from you, not your website (though I will look at it).

Good luck in your search. As many fleet as there are out there, I am sure there is one which fits you well.

Hmm, you'd think so but it looks like I was a little too specific in what I was looking for :P

Heh, I've actually been interested in the UFP for some time, but don'tfancy going grey before I climb th eladder ot a comfortable level.

You're always welcome as a brother to the Jevonite Order.

Doesn't meet all of your specs and we're very small because we had a mass exodus to SWTOR when it was clear that STO wasn't going to have a Cardassian faction. We have one VA and I just made RA; our VA has done a lot of STFs, but you'd have to teach me and get me into it.

Also, I kind of limited the species to Cardassians (still voting on Jem Hadar Alphas, Dominion, and Tellerites), but it is definately different than the normal FED fleets. We are also dual faction so you can play KDF or UFP.

I would have offered earlier, but felt that you already knew you'd be welcomed to the family.

You could consider Federation Fleet if you havent alrweady, based on what you waould like here are some cons and pros:

    Pro's:
-Its rare there isnt a Fleet Admiral ingame
    -Fleet bank dosent need EC
-If its in the fleet bank its there to be taken (usually)
    -We run alot of STF
-Rank doesn't go by 'what' you know, it goes by been active and helpful etc
-If you dont want the responsibilities of a said rank (Admiraiality etc) then you dont have to have them.
-To my knowledge we have no rules on alts been alowed in other fleets

    Con's:
-We are rather large as the fleet was setup before launch
-We have Teamspeak 3 although its not mandatory
-No MK XII purps in fleet bank :(

I cant think of anything else so if you have any questions let me know or pop on down to http://federationfleet.guildlaunch.com
