The Doctor, Captain Picard and the Enterprise will be going up against the collective forces of the Borg and the Cybermen.. but we'll have to wait to see exactly how things play out.
I am definitely looking forward to this. It will be interesting to see how the Cybermen/Borg alliance works, the Cybermen having the assimilation schtick at least 20 years before the Borg came about.

I like to think that the Cybermen were the Influence for the TNG writers creation of the Borg, given their similarity. Is influence the right word, not sure?
I really think that the Cybermen were body horror done right. As interesting as the Borg are, its hard for me not to think of them as hi tech Cenobites complete with flying puzzle boxes. Still, there was a certain cool factor, so I hope the alliance will be suitably creepy.
I dunno, the last time The Cybermen trie dto ally themselves with another Cyber/Robotic force, it ended up causing the deaths of hundreds around Canary Wharf. How will this alliance be any better?
Actually, seeing how the stormtroopers have a unique talent for missing their targets, the redshirts might survive this one.
The stormtroopers may miss but the redshirts will still find ways to die
but correct me if im wrong but classic who the cybermen were a race that were once human in ancient times and 'upgraded' to eternal body and removed emotions to force there evolution to the next step.
it was not till later in the 2000's reboot that the idea came that they sought out other beings to ''upgrade' them to cybermen like themselves, granted these were of a parallel earth so a little rewriting is allowed.

The Original series Cybermen also "converted" people, but they did it only to increase their numbers

I remember in 'Tomb of the Cybermen' that one of the characters was partly converted aftere a little digging, but unlike the Borg its not there main gig.

There was a partial conversion in "The Invasion" as well, it made the one converted immune to gunfire, pretty useful thing to have done

* I'm sure Picard will have issues about the Doctor stealing his Chair lol
I'm still waiting for Stormtroopers vs Redshirts.
It'll be a slaughter!

 That would be a major issue if crews had to deal with Cybermen and Borg drones that you couldnt even use a tommygun on:eek::eek:
