Clarification ... Is this per character unlock or account-wide?
It says on there....
Note: Unlocking this bundle unlocks these items for all Federation characters on an account. Klingon Empire characters on the account may claim the Duty Officers, the Bajoran Pistol and the Bajoran Phaser Rifle.
big question that remains is...will that bundle be an accountwide unlock? or do we have to buy it for each char seperately to get those DOffs? cause all i see that is accountwide is the shuttle
I wanted to say Yay, Defiant bridge, but have to reserve judgement on this one until I see it live.
The picture in the blog suggests it is just a reskinned version of an already existing escort type bridge. And makes it look way to big AGAIN!
The LCARS make it look a lot cooler, but it still isnt really IP appropriate and teh TOS bridge, while also a tiny bit too big, remains the best effort we have ever seen from you guys for a Trek bridge.
The classic look of the Defiant Classs interior is now available in Star Trek Online! Visit brand-new interiors, including the Bridge and Engineering, which are complete with rounded corridors and traditional LCARS displays.
Is it complete with the incorrect ship silhouette at O'Brien's station?
Would love to attach it to my defiant, won't spend a cp on it. I bought both the TOS and Ent packs, and their benefit to my gaming experience has been infinitesimal. 800cp I might do.
Addendum:
You could drastically improve my estimation of its value if you decide to create more than 1 shuttle-oriented mission.
I've been begging and pleading for this bridge interior since my Captain level Defiant.
Honestly, for 1800 points this is an amazing deal. That shuttle is akin to the Delta Flyer and the Fighters which are what, 400 points by themselves?
I'd drop 20 bucks on this bundle in a heart beat, but after the polish wears off I have to ask myself.... why? Will this enhance my game-play experience in any way shape or form? Probably. But besides this new FE... what else is there to do? Go replay the same old missions that I've done X amount of times over two years? Hit up STFs?
This is a great deal, and I envy the new folks coming into the game for the first time. I dunno, yet. I'll probably end up getting it but I'm likely going to regret it.

$22.50? Whew... Dang. That's a pretty penny. But then there's a whole lotta awesome in there, and I haven't purchased anything in a while and since I'm >Magnificent LTS I'm being paid to play for free... Yeah... I'll buy this.

There is no big question about the accountwide-y-ness. From the article itself:
Note: Unlocking this bundle unlocks these items for all Federation characters on an account. Klingon Empire characters on the account may claim the Duty Officers, the Bajoran Pistol and the Bajoran Phaser Rifle.
Might the Bajoran Vedek and Dominion War Admiral costumes make their way into the Gold-Press Latinum store?
At a minimum, might any of the components from this bundle be sold separately in the C-Store? For the player who may only want the bridge. Or who may only want one of the costumes but not the other.
See, now, this is cool to me. I don't have a big problem with it, this is what the C-Store should be for. The weapons.. well, I doubt they're as good as what drops, so I'm okay with them. The shuttle.. errrrrrr... well... I'm mostly okay with it, because, it's just a shuttle, it's not going to win anyone any battles. The interior is still f'huge, though.
I'm a bit torn, all in all. 1800CPs is a good chunk of change. On the other hand, that's some good stuff in there and I want to tell Cryptic that this is the sort of thing I'm cool with being in the C-Store. On the gripping hand, it's still sort of double-dipping us. Further, the big selling point of the package is the Belfast bridge... which is still huge.
I have a feeling the bridge isn't as big as it appears in this screen shot. I think they elongated the image to show more of the bridge. Sort of like the fishbowl camera lens? /shrugs.
I can't support this. nor can I think too highly of a company that puts out an absurdly bad set of defiant bridges (none of which were even remotely accurate) for cash then puts out the accurate one for over $20. poor business ethics to say the least.
weapons in the cstore? shouldn't be there at all, regardless of how strong or weak they may be. it sets a precedent.
can't support anybody selling uniforms for that price either. not after seeing the formerly FREE wrath of khan one suddenly costing hundreds of points. that speaks volumes.
and the doffs in the pack? if they're unique then they shouldn't be in any paid pack. they should be mission/doff system rewards. if they're not unique then they have no business being in a pack that costs over $20.
Note: Unlocking this bundle unlocks these items for all Federation characters on an account. Klingon Empire characters on the account may claim the Duty Officers, the Bajoran Pistol and the Bajoran Phaser Rifle.
so, if you're strictly a klingon player, you can unlock that for....$22 or so? if anybody thought that is reasonable they're either nuts or very unethical
Yeah, I'd also like to know if these DOffs are unique to this pack or not... There's supposed to be a DS9 DOff pack comng eventually, and if these DOffs are available there as well, not really worth the $20 to me (as DOffs are the only thing I care about here, though the rest of the stuff is nice )
If they are unique to this pack, please let us know...
Appears to use the same scaling as the standard Defiant bridge.
On the other hand, nice details.
And... as an aside... I just realized that this uses canon color schemes. So how does someone get the bridge used at the login screen? Y'Know, replica Defiant interior with canon LCARS in blue.
I think we need more consistent decisions with regards to interiors. For instance, canon LCARS or LCARS customization of some kind. It's weird to have a bridge at the login screen that mixes the canon LCARS with the new style color schemes in a way that isn't possible in-game.
I dunno. I kinda feel as though if they're going to advertise the color LCARS at the Login screen, it's time to shift over all Starfleet facilities back to color LCARS. (Which, interestingly, we also have at DS9.)
However, I'd also love it if we had a "computer core" slot on our ships and the item we dropped in there changed all computer displays, not just between color LCARS variants but allowed things like Cardassian displays, etc. And had some kind innate passive modifier to any ship.

Except that those were just bridges. This here is a bridge plus an entire interior modelled after the one from the show. It's also scaled much better.
We also get a shuttle, some nice Doffs, uniforms and weapons. 1800 cpoints is fine. Get over it.
weapons in the cstore? shouldn't be there at all, regardless of how strong or weak they may be. it sets a precedent.
No it doesn't. We already have melee weapons, consoles and ship weapons in the c-store

EDIT:
Brandon, those pics are...
A W E S O M E !!
We get the long awaited admiral uniform!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Yay, Admiral uniform!
Ok, Bajoran Weapons, Shuttle (pet) and doffs.

This and the fact that I 100% DO NOT support in-game weapons being sold on the c-store.

Based on the TOS set the weapons will be much weaker than endgame gear. It is for the looks, not the firepower.
If you don't spend your money on unethical companies then what company does that leave to spend money with?
its account wide. it says at the bottom.
There is no big question about the accountwide-y-ness. From the article itself:
I am afraid of that too.. lets see tomorrow what happend.. but I am not going to buy the pack if the Bridge is a reskinned one.
