While I was never a fanboy of this show, I always find myself watching it for the great information that gets put out by Chris and his contact with the Developers. Can't argue with the great information, approachable format, and usually positive view of the game. Definitely glad to have it back on the air.

Yeah information is good I just was never a fan of the beating around the bush. It's not a bad show I just have some lingering issues since its technically not hardcore STO players its more like a collection of players who play once in awhile.
Just watched it... It has a lot less beating around the bush but only few things I noticed is that it didn't touch base on any KDF issues especially since no matter what you do you do not get that extra dialogue like the federation side has with that diplomacy button. The only other problem that wasn't touched base on was the odyssey saucer seperation is pretty much going to do it wonders but the bortas isn't really played that much since it has all the major flaws and was extremely nerfed beyond reason due to many things like the cloak for example versus a science npc federation ship can see you almost when you enter weapons range. I just don't think one little bird of prey for a console is going to be useful with the overall problems the rest of the ship has. The design as we recieved it pretty much is going to cause people to not even buy the +1 console ships of it and then its going to be viewed as that its not worth continueing anything for the KDF but I'm starting to think that was the point of the bortas due to things being discussed in other threads about KDF content.
I'm slightly confused, CaptainGeko mentioned Share Holders in this episode; are there any share holders left aside from Perfect World now? When I look up Cryptic Studios, it is no longer in the public stock exchange, so I'm curious if there are other share holders aside from PW.

Since Cryptic Studios is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Perfect World Co., Ltd., I would presume that there is no such thing as Cryptic stock anymore. Ergo, the only shareholders would be the parent company.

"Wholly Owned Subsidiary" = 100% of the stock is in the hands of the parent company, BUT the stock does exist. This way Cryptic does indeed still exist as a seperate entity should PWE decide to try and sell them again (IE they would sell 100% of the Cryptic stock they hold to the next buyer). But, it's 100% true that when he refers to 'the stockholders' it's just a different way of saying "PWE Corporate".

Which just seems odd to me since he mentioned Perfect World in the same sentance. Also an interesting note, but PWE owns Cryptic Studios, PWE is owned by Perfect World Company. PWC actually has public stock, so perhaps that is the share holder?
Good Interview, and thanks for nailing some things down up front. So many folks reading things into what Al is saying and crying "wolf" good to see some clarification.

Was a good episode, looking forward to next week.
Some cool intel on future ships and modular kits, too.
Almost makes me want a shotgun... (watch it if you want to know what I'm blathering about)

Al was pretty good too.
Inerestin how the devs barely, if at all, acknowledged the hiatus but are jumping all over the return.
I already did on the live stream and right after it was released. Nice to see the episodes again after a couple of weeks.
Considering that DURING the hiatus STOKed had 3 'special' episodes - in effect it was only off the net maybe a single week in total.
