I am pleased by this. Here's hoping we resume the Ask Cryptics and the Engineering Reports.

Oh, and Dan? Care to comment on the whole number-of-FEs-per-year controversy? :)

I'm not sure I can find the words.

I'm trying...I just don't...you know when you're really really wanting something to happen but something else does and you're kinda not sure if it's good or bad?

Good to hear, though I hope he doesn't end up just being a figurehead, announcing and/or trying to defend the decisions that have been made at a higher level.

"Rejoice, workers! Starting next month, the gold member stipend has been increased to 300 CP per month."

    Holy TRIBBLE!

Welcome back, Dan! What'd happened at Zynga that made you want to come back?

I hope you (Stephen D'Angelo) enjoy your old job as much as the new old captain hopefully will enjoy his old job. :)

Maybe the old new Captain of the Enterprise copies your blog style dev diary format, I liked it very much.

Virtually any management job makes you do that from time to time, unless you're the owner.

I'm just hoping we get back to a bit more transparency. Plus, I genuinely believe Dan wants the right things for STO. Whether he has the resources/ability/freedom to deliver everything is another story, but there's no doubt in my mind that his heart is in the right place.

I hope that your time with the foundry team will have some kind of impact on sto's long-lost toolset.

Maybe we'll never have another season 4, since now you understand both teams, how they work, and how both teams might, oh, I don't know... someday work with shared goals and shared commitments to all Cryptic games.

There's always room for hope, right?

    Welcome back.

I will troll you with hope for a better future.

ps. maybe you could get QA to take a look at 50 or so unresolved foundry bugs, if you so desire.

Good, now maybe STO can get back on track. You have my support Dan for putting STO back to where it should be. Good luck!

So....back to being promised everything and the kitchen sink will be added to the game so that everyone can rage?

I've been a fan of the less news if more approach. The less we are promised, the more it seems like we're getting and the more surprising the new game things are.

    Oh this is too funny.

    We're being trolled, right?

    ROFL!

    EDIT:

I should probably clarify, for the sake of dignity... I welcome this news. It puts an end to a great deal of uncertainty, and Stahl is an affable bloke whom I have a lot of respect for. But this is nonetheless a comedy of headaching-inducing HR shenanigans that I can't even begin to comprehend.

    Just... Wow.
