I hope that its Laurel. She has been there for two years. Its about time that she received a promotion. Plus, she is still the sexiest NPC in the game.
could be. im pretty sure they said the new captain would be an andorian thinking back to an interview. its possible he gets to take command of the Enterprise.

I agree, I've been trying to get a date with her forever, but she keeps ignoring me, just keeps punching away at her console without even looking at me She's a hard one to get! One of these days, I WILL convince her to go out on a date.

^^^ This. Definitely this. Although Shon did mention he's the captain of a different vessel when you catch up to him in the docking bay before the conference.

You might want to try to get her double to go out with you.:p
she a Lieutenant so at best she would have made lt. cmd by now.
as for sexy.......no comment.
Yes, her. She has been working for Starfleet for two years. There is no reason why she should not be a Vice Admiral by now. She could totally be the Captain of the Enterprise.
And 'no comment' was a wise choice. If you had insulted her, I would have been forced to defend my beloved's honor and call you a 'stinky poo-head'. No one wants to see it come to that.

Oh, Laurel@ESD_Requisitions why do you never return my love letters? I only wish to bestow upon you my undying affection...
Why are people still saying it will be an Andorian...the plan has changed....
The Ent-F captain was the the F2P Trailer. It is set in stone.
The "Most Interesting Captain in Starfleet" guy? I thought he was just some random dude who represented the players progression from Cadet to Vice Admiral.

He is on the Ent-F bridge in the chair even. The F2P video was showing his entire life up to this point. Watch the trailer again, it zooms out pretty fast from the bridge and you can see ENTERPRISE 1701-F, etc right before the borg cubes block the view.
Uh, I am also pretty sure that Shon is captain of the Belfast. He gives you DOff missions that relate to helping him with his ship and his crew, too. So I doubt he's gonna be the Ent-F captain.
Unless he gets a serious commendation or something.

I wouldn't read too much in to it, honestly. That particular shot struck me as a 'holding slide' for something later on down the track, as Cryptic has been eager to make the Enterprise's debut a "Surprise". It wouldn't make sense to reveal her captain (and a very generic Captain at that) with such little ceremony.
That particular 'captain' also makes no sense for the Enterprise. For a start, he was wearing the pips of a Fleet Admiral. Second... he didn't seem a little 'senior' to you? I'd expect the captain of the Enterprise would be someone we know, and I don't know about you, but I have never seen that old geezer before. Who is he? Where did he come from?
Of all the candidates in STO to be captain of the Enterprise, this... random... makes the least sense.
I doubt it. From what I've read, this will be slotted into the Cardassian storyline, the way the Devidian FE was slotted into the Klingon storyline. In which case, this FE takes place well before the Borg/Undine story where the Ent-F debuts.

My thinking was that they just didn't change the name and registry for the trailer, though it defiantly is possible he's actualy the captain of the Enterprise-F. We won't really know until Cryptic actualy says something, of course.
I honestly haven't heard anything for a long time on an Andorian captain. It's most likely the captain and new crew shown in the trailer.
Its an Ad, man. Its meant to draw people in to the game. What is more iconic than a shot of the Enterprise coming to save the day? I don't think that the Ad-Man is the Canon Captain. He COULD be. I just doubt it.
They could go way to left field make the Captain Clara Sutter from TNG's "Imaginary Friend". Her special ability could be "Summon: Isabella".

"I' don't always command the Enterprise, but when I do, I'm drinking kanar."

My suspicion is, Kestrel wanted Shon to command the Enterprise. CBS, in the intervening year since work started on the FE, may have had cold feet and said they wanted a human to do it since it had always been a human.
My prediction is also that this guy will have the exact same voice and speaking style as Shon.
Wouldn't they have had to change the registry to the Enterprise, NCC-1701-F for that trailer? In the Odyssey mission, the generic name of the ship you were given was the "Odyssey." It wasn't the Enterprise.
In a related topic, who was the Captain of the Odyssey class vessel that attacked the Bortas if you were playing the mission to acquire the Bortas? For that matter, what was the name of that Odyssey class vessel?

It was the U.S.S. Odyssey and it had a Caitian commander.

Is that the disembodied voice of Ensign Harry Kim, crying from the next emanation I hear?

Given that he was the Voyager whipping boy, that is a distinct possibility.
But remember: in the New Starfleet you can get command right of the Academy. Miss Laurel is already an expert on every ship class. She has earned the right to command.

The bridge you get with the odyssey and the one in the F2P vid are not the same or maybe its the + 1 ship bridge but i don't think it is
I hadnt noticed that when I watched the trailer. It would be interesting if the Commanding officer of the Enterprise was a Fleet Admiral. We have seen Admirals take command of vessels during times of War like Admiral Ross during the Dominion War and Admiral Hanson at Wolf 359. It could make sense that the Flagship of the Federation would have such a high ranking commanding officer during this time.

Admirals never command ships. Even HMS Victory had a Captain when she flew Nelson's flag at Trafalgar.
Enterprise might well have an Admiral aboard, but she still needs a Captain to command her.
Comments
Considering he was such a hothead (and he gesticulated like a Power Ranger) I certainly hope they don't give him the flagship of Starfleet.
if you mean her, http://www.stowiki.org/Laurel
she a Lieutenant so at best she would have made lt. cmd by now.

Only if she will trade rocks for a starship.

So we can all captain the ENT-F then..?

4chan called. They want their Furries back.
Give it a month, people... Rule34 will prevail.

I actually think it should be me I mean I've done way more stuff to earn it then this mysterious fellow we have never even heard of.
Admirals never command ships. Even HMS Victory had a Captain when she flew Nelson's flag at Trafalgar.

Oooh. I like this idea.
