Just got that now, I logged in when holodeck came back up, went to SFA, did my thing there and when I went to beam into ESD I got that error. Trying to log back in (both normal and safe modes) will load the first 3 or so percent than kick me out with that error.

Same error here... I only logged out to switch characters :(

EDIT: it sometimes goes through to the char select, but then it asks me if I want to login safely (go to the last non-mission map). But then still fails with the above error after selecting anyways.

Same here, same exact message. Someone sure mucked something up.

mucked past participle, past tense of muck (Verb)
    Verb:

Mishandle (a job or situation); spoil (something).
Remove (manure and other dirt) from a horse's stable or other animal's dwelling.

Well, kicked me out once I tried to beam down to the Academy. Probably overload due to the current event.

Seemed to be able to log back in ok though, just got placed back in ESD.

EDIT: maybe spoke too soon, beamed to ship and kicked again :/

    Having this issue also.

I can get to the character selesction screen but when I click to enter the game, it goes to a load screen and then dumps me back to the login screen with the error message.

    This is weaksauce...

Getting the error, now. I'm guessing that they forgot to turn queuing back on? I haven't been seeing the queue today, it just tries to log me in and then blows up with this GS error.

I got booted out again, but this time it got to 8% instead of 3%. It only took five minutes to get there. :(

EDIT: I tried again; it didn't even get to 2% this time.

    Ditto.

Honestly, these constant server glitches and all these bugs with the new FE is highly annoying. Cryptic needs to get new hardware.

EDIT: Well can't log in STO, but can get on the Foundry. So guess I'll fiddle on my missions.

Well since I can't log on, guess I'll go play TOR until the server is fixed.

Now why would they do that? So long as players can get to the C-Store and buy those keys everything is peachy in their eyes.

Hmm, seems some of my characters can log in and others can't.

Could possibly depend on their location.

    ESD chars login ok.
    K7 chars are ok.

    SFA chars dont.

Having the same problem. My main-char is at SFA and can't log in. Other chars have no problem.

Same here. There was a problem with the Event system earlier today, and it looks like it's TRIBBLE up SFA because the SFA Event is going on right now.

Gotta wait 10 min. for the SFA Event to end. Then maybe my character can get out of SFA

so i am getting this error now. i was not able to play last night as i was out. sat down to play today and logged in the first time normally. then tried to beam down to sfa from sol sector and got the dreaded message.
first time it happened, i relogged then chose "safe login" crashed after a few minutes.
second time relogged and same message before hitting character select screen.
third time, chose "normal login" and sitting here for 5 min before crashing.

    wonderful.

I got these messages earlier and when I picked the safe log in option if the window popped up, it seemed to roll me back to where I was when I got disconnected.

    Now....

As of 5pm CST USA (3pm Cryptic time PST) -- I was in Betraka Nebula trying to finish the daily "Explore New Worlds" mission and when entering a system, the game kept timing out. It would slowly scroll the numbers up with the little numbers next to the big number increasing a bit faster than 1 per second but never getting much about 25big ##small before it disconnected me for timing out. This happened several times, so I just killed the client.

Looks like the IT staff took the day off and all heck broke lose...
