For me it's Alpha Centauri
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sid_Meier's_Alpha_Centauri
It's my favorite turn based strategy game, probably my favorite game of all time. I'd like to see it blended into an MMO where players choose to be a part of the different factions, starting from the initial landing until an end (there were a variety of ways to end this game) is reached and then the game is reset.
It's an older game (1999) and here's youtube of its intro:

Here's a cut scene for one of the many projects:

A full blown survive the city.
Gotta find food, water, supplies and of course fight thru the dead.
Would love to be part of the resistance movement
Anything but fantasy (elves/wizards) gets a tick in my books
I am looking forward to The Secret World
EDIT: or Star Trek.
I mean COME ON Nintendo.
Cave Johnson for the win!!!
This sums it up for me! All the regions, all the Pokemon, etc.
- Stargate ("present day" not the likes of Stargate Infinity)
- Pokemon (this feeling actually took me by surprise - gotta catch 'em all, league games, Pika pika omg - ONLY THE FIRST 151)
- Fallout (not a fan of that semi-similar one out at the minute)
- Warhammer 40k (Space Marine game style, not Dark Millennium if that even survives)
I could list more, but considering I'm already playing several mmos, the addition of these would seriously curb my time to eat, sleep, drink and socialize... (further)...
Don't hit me now, but I actually think Cryptic has the tech to do Stargate and Pokemon. I'm not saying the money, or the staff, but the tech. Shooter mode p90s against Goa'Uld! Team Rocket and snorlax! rofl
For TV: Since Star Trek's already taken...... I would have to say Harsh Realm. Especially if you could have an actual map of america generated and evolved from a past census.
For Comics: DC's taken, and Marvel would be pointless if there's already a half dozen superhero MMO's, so... The Walking Dead. Again, see Harsh Realm on how to make it really awesome.
For Videogames: System Shock is top of my list, though a Battletech/Mechwarrior MMO would be awesome as hell.
Also, Sid Meier's Pirates!, although maybe a little less cartoonish, and with a bigger map with more area to explore.
I can't believe no one has mentioned Firefly yet...although that might be a bit like an MMO version of Privateer, which was also awesome.
Since we're at Catalyst Games and former FASA games, Battletech might also be interesting.
An RPG that is just asking for the MMO treatment.
Also -- and I can't believe this hasn't been mentioned yet -- Game of Thrones (or more properly, A Song of Ice and Fire).
That game had the best space fighter combat ever and the storyline was fantastic. It would be great to have an mmo in that univere.
Traveler would be awesome. My personal wish would be the "Land" from Stephen R. Donaldsons Chronicles of Thomas Covenant series.
i actually think this would be a great MMO. lots of story content, cool factions to play. and i always liked the way the writers and creators wrapped in ancient mythology into the story to make it believable. what if there really is a stargate program, and the TV show is just a cover to let the idea slowly leak into the mainstream? kinda like wormhole extreme...:p
For real: An extemely realistic and historically based Roman Empire-MMO. Think of all the politics, the intrigues, the gladiators, the legates. Think of a the antique Rome of Marcus Aurelius time!
I think smth like this would be way too intellectual for the current market, though...
Some of my best RPG stories come from that game. From that game, I learned to always hit the deck whenever the lights go out. *LOL*
A true Trek MMO.
A firefly MMO.
Mass Effect MMO.
GTA/Saints Row-esque MMO, APB doesn't count.
A Halo MMO FPS.
