Ketracel White consumable debuffs the player, but buffs specifically the Jem'Hadar race. Since AFAIK AI NPC enemies don't drink stuff while wandering around not fighting, to me this is a pretty good confirmation.
A Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, a Breen Tactical Officer, a Reman Science Officer, a Borg Science Officer, an Android Engineering Officer, and on the starfleet side, each character has a cross-faction KDF Diplomatic Officer. on the KDf side, I've managed to get two out of three of them special Very rare Lethean Boffs through the Doff System.
I have enough special Boffs. My Away Teams and Bridge rosters are chock-full of personnel with no canon right to be there!
You know what I want? I want a special pack of Doffs. Five Bajoran personnel (Counselors, Medics, and Diplomatic/Espionage) and Five Doffs from the Dominion (Vorta Diplomats/Changeling Espionage specialist, Jem'Hadar Tactical Personnel), all Rare, all "unique".

just to add to your list, on top of the ones u mentioned i have 2 cross-facton kdf, photonic sci officer, anar officer, catain officer, and the veteran officer all on 1 character. so i agree i dont need another special boff either..

Holy TRIBBLE I forgot about my Photon Science officers..
I don't like Jem'hadar as a species, they are in the same camp for me as the Ocompa. I don't like "may fly" lifespans on sentient species. so if it's a boff, I may get it on one character as seemly for collecting purposes
Our ships are getting chock full of refugees. It might not be that bad if we could put them in appropriate Starfleet/KDF uniforms, but since we can't with, well, nearly any of them it's really starting to look ridiculous. It's getting to the point where the average player will have fewer senior staff in uniform than dressed in the enemies' finery...

This is an excellent solution. I wouldn't mind my motly crew of Starfleets sworn enemies if I could put them all in starfleet uniforms and write back-stories of their defections..

Supposedly this was being discussed at some point according to previous Engineering Reports, but that was under Dstahl so who knows what filing cabinet (or dumpster) the idea is stuffed away in now.
That's kind of understandable since it's a life support suit. Though they should still probably get the option for badges/rank insignia to denote their allegiance. Even just that little bit would help make them seem significantly less out of place.
If it is one PLEASE LET ME PUT IT IN A STARFLEET UNIFORM! Really! There mine and are now part of my crew so then need to have the uniform! Reman would have been so easy to do! The breen would of taken some effort but you could of made him at least in a special starfleet uniform! The borg I should of been able to liberate. The holo doc should of been able to wear any uniform! Voyger did.
See how that list has nine BOffs on it? Spread that across three Fed alts and it's down to three per characters, which with a Gold account-level number of BOff slots isn't nearly enough to choke out your entire crew.
It's not optimal, and it doesn't solve anything for folks with two or fewer Fed toons, but it's something...

That was the joke, can you imagine your Breen flopping around on the deck like a fish out of water? It's kind of cruel, but it has comedic value too.. Schadenfreude?

Well... according to Weyoun the Breen home world isn't the frozen wasteland it's been said to be, suggesting that the suit isn't actually for life support, but that it's hiding something. Of course that plot thread was never picked back up, but hey maybe STO could deal with that...
So perhaps there wouldn't be any flopping about, and instead we'd get a -> <- moment.
Definitely part of the camp against a reward boff for this series here, too. I sympathize with newer players who haven't yet had the chance to pick up snazzy Breen or Remans, but considering the reality of rerun weeks giving players additional chances to pick them up later, it's not really that much of an issue for them.
But for people like me who have trouble even finding uses for half the special reward boffs I have now and don't even have room for more, I can't help but experience a feeling of dread at the prospect. Will I have to go without the limited time reward for this FE series? Or will I have to fire someone on my crew to accept the new guy? Neither sounds particularly enjoyable, really.
according to a breen fan friend I have. the Breen are not just one race. they are a multitude of races and as part of their alliance they all wear the suit. only one of the breen races need the suit for lifesupport due to their every low body temp

In the TNG relaunch novels (not canon to STO or visa versa) 'The Breen' is actually a confederacy nation of different races, similar to the federation, but with a very high level of personal secrecy- the suits are actually to eliminate subconscious racial profiling or prejudice- sort of like the internet, actually.
Since you might never see someone's face or know what race they are until you're extremely good friends/family, the chance that you're going to subconsciously discriminate against or for them is significantly lessened.
With a culture that builds on this secrecy and personal identity, 'The Breen' is actually pretty interesting and I wish the relaunch novels would have explored it in greater depth than they did.
What we do know is that there *are* ice dwelling Breen who are the ones that exhale frost and whatever, and they're generally the 'guise' that the rest of the Breen assume when dealing with outsiders. But there's also a lot of different races- most of them nonhumanoid, which I found interesting.
Well, like, they're humanoid shaped, but they're not bumpy head aliens. There's like, anthromorphic dog people, ice dwelling insectoids, and various other races.

So they're like the Xindi, but enjoy Star Wars cosplay?

I think there was a hint thrown out that they're Deferi. There was mention of a lost tribe of Deferi and the Breen had to know about the Preserver connection from somewhere.

Which might be neat, and better than the soft canon alternative.

Jem'Hadar don't have a "mayfly" natural lifespan like Ocampa. They have short lifespans because they go into combat immediately after birth and no fear of death whatsoever. If there was a Jem'Hadar hippie I don't see anything stopping him from living to be 100.

Yeah, this comes to light in the Typhon Pact novels I believe, and while an interesting set of novels, it's not strictly canon (in fact Typhon Pact is a different universe to STO)

I honestly would rather have a Purple Doff then another Boff that doesn't make sense. But I think Cryptic wants folks to buy more Boff slots to fit in all these special Boffs.
Its funny too because I figure making a Doff Jem'Hadar I figure would have taken a ton of less work.
Its amazing to have all these enemy characters serving on my ship then be asked to kill 500 ships from their species. I wonder what they would say about that?
You know what? If they DO have a BOFF, I hope it's non-unique.
As it stands, a lot of endgame/longtimeplayers are gravitating towards "one of each special BOff) but at least by making this one non-unique, it would encourage some people to go with an all Jem'Hadar crew, which would be different from the "one of each special BOff" approach.
I, too, would prefer we not get yet another BOff. Or, at least make it a choice from several awards of equal value. I'd much rather have some rare or very rare DOffs or some sort of unique console. The enemy BOffs are fine and all, but frankly they are only unique in ground combat. Why not unique space abilities? Perhaps they can be based on regular space abilities, but modified. Maybe something like High Yield torpedo with a small chance to ignore shields? Something along those lines.
I have two liberated Borg, a Gorn, an Orion, a Reman, a hologram, and a Breen. In a few months I will have an Android. All well and good, but it's not like they aren't interchangeable on the ground.
Good DOffs? Yeah, I can use those all the time to good benefit.

I've got them too.
I HAVE TOO MANY SPECIAL BOFFS!!!

Might be a problem for the Breen though..
Blame my childhood. I'm a long-time Pokemon player; "Gotta Catch'em All" is basically burned into my brain...
But boy we are getting really full with Special Boffs where my originals are all gone now.
Liberated Engineering Borg BOFF
Liberated Science Borg BOFF
Breen BOFF
Reman BOFF
Old Diplomacy Reward BOFF
New Diplomacy Reward BOFF
Photonic BOFF
Veteran BOFF
Android BOFF
Oy, running out of room here.

I expect some posts to come out when the Jem'Hadar shows up from folks who run an all amazonian ship.
How many folks are still waiting for the Female android to be rolled out?
