So I've been playing for about 5 days. I'm up to level 32, have my Fleet Escort (aka Defiant, aka USS Petulant) got my Akira refit (Went science cruiser on Lt.C. Glad I did) and I'm planning on getting both the Multi Vector prommie and the Dreadnaught. Thing is, I'm sitting on my CP somewhat nervously because I'm worried that I'll spend the Cp for the prommie or dreadnaught before I get to a sufficient level to actually buy them from the CP store.
So the solution is this: Allow them to be bought at any level, but put them in an unpackable box. I don't even mind if you make the box bound to character or account (Account would be better, IMO, but to character works) This way I don't have to worry about making a wrong click in the CP store and overspending. (Had this happen in world of tanks. I was displeased. Oddly the tank I accidentally bought I have a 64% winrate on. . .)
I clicked on this thread with the intention of using every profanity I could on you, but now that I see what you're saying, I shall leave you in peace and give you a free bump.
Even if it isn't necessary and you just need to learn self control.
It isn't really about self control, so much as more efficient tools for planning. Being able to drop the $ when you get into the game to plan "At lt Commander I'll get an Akira, Then the Real Defiant, then the dreadnaught" and not having to worry that a misclick costs you RL money is a good thing.
