TRIBBLE this.. I've spent too much money on locks for these stupid keys to the cardassian crates and received not a single useful item. This is BS.. I've been here since STO opened and have yet to receive any of the good special items people get during events or special settings. This is nowhere near the first time I have attempted to earn something through one of these 'events' designed apparently only to pressure us in to spending more money via the c-store with the gamble of winning some special game prize. Anything out of the ordinary I've received I've had to purchase via the C-Store, and never won during these events.. and I'm sick of it! Especially when the developers decide to rub it in my face with all these notices of others unlocking the special items.. That's cruel and unusual punishment.. and quite frankly extremely poor customer service and business ethics. If you are going limit the number of these prizes like the Galor class vessel as you have previous ones then STOP spamming us every few minutes with the fictitious user name of some supposed winner who just unlocked your so called prize.
I may not have played STO very much in the last year or so, but I never cancelled my account and continued to pay monthly dues even through that time to support ST and the game. Least you can do is not throw me the virtual middle finger constantly while I am trying to enjoy playing a mission by spamming my screen with these so called people unlocking special items. Basically you constantly tell me that they are winners and do the Nelson laugh in my face telling me I'm just a loser... try again.

You fell for the oldest advertisment in the book. I agree with you, I really don't like those gambling events. But everyone should be able to decide for themselves if they participate in a lottery, I mean really there is NO WAY one can believe that gambling benefits YOU, the customer. They wouldn't do it if that's were the case. They don't even make a big secret out of it.
I'm not trying to be rude, but one cannot partake in a lottery and then complain about getting the short end. Really, no hard feelings I just don't understand why you did that in the first place.
Some people just don't learn from the winter event. Its all most a Scam too get you too spend money i my self learned not too waste time on that junk i might bye stuff like a ship or unlocks out of the C store but i do not spend my money on that junk ill wait for it too come out in C store. And mostly most of them ships that they due this kinda TRIBBLE are mostly junk. All it is a big hype.Too get you too spend your C points or/money on it.And the sad thing about it is you can not get a refund.
I just came back to the game a few days ago and was rather with wath they done for the KDF (DOFF and cross-faction STF's). Then we had the special mission to get the Bortas. So when I heard about the lock bxoes and the Galor-class cruiser I thought this was going to be something similar. I'm ashamed at the amount of money I dished out on this BS. I have not even seen 1 Galor around. Well I did see one but it was holoprojector... If this what STO has become then it has nothing to do with Star Trek. You're not supposed to have to "buy" anything. You work hard to improve yourself. You work hard for what you get. This is not Star Trek, Well, it is. But it is not the Federation or the Klingon Empire. It is the Ferengi Alliance...
I used my 4 free keys and got nothing. My best friend bought 3 keys with Dilithium and got a Galor on his second key. Such is the luck of the draw. I could use my Dilithium to buy 50 keys but ultimately I don't really want the Galor - so why do it? Just for the sake of gloating that I have it? No thanks. I'd rather spend my money and Dilithium on the upcoming Odyssey variant.

I agree, there isn't even a way to turn off those notifications and its even ruining my demo record files for my foundry missions
I dislike these messages too. While I'm against seeing is at gloating and reminding anyone about loosing (eh?) anything I think it was a dumb decision by the game makers. Why they implemented it eludes me.
ive tried every thing too get rid of the annoying messages and seems its a bound message i would like it too stop bad enough i got too deal with the STF messages and the log in messages.
Everyone opening these boxes is telling Cryptic/PW "I want more of these lotto boxes!", so please either don't participate and try to eliminate sales of these things, or if you are going to participate, don't waste forum space complaining about a lottery system you are willingly participating in.
I hate these lotto boxes, I wish they never made it into STO, but I have no sympathy for someone who drops hundreds of dollars on a half a percent chance to win a ship and then wants to complain when they don't get one.

Actually, I'd support anyone who wants to buy that TRIBBLE. After all, these people are financing the game. I know, most revenue goes directly to PW, and only little will end up as being re-invested into STO, but without those insance lottery boxes something else would be needed to create such revenue.
Think of C-store price increases, more content limited for silver players, or even yet more direct approaches toward some pay-to-win philosophy (think of c-store-exclusice hi-end epics and the like).
