When is Cryptic going to start selling Bug fixes in the C-Store???

All I know is that everytime there has been a patch lately and whole new bunch of bugs appears.

You can't use the search option in the exchange because it is not working correctly.
Trying to change Chat channels starts a flickering that makes it difficult to switch channels.
The space graphics have been a flickering mess for over 2 months now.
You cannot use half of your Bridge Officers powers in the ground.
and I'm sure there are a whole bunch of other bugs that I don't know of at the moment. If would be nice if there was somewhere we could go to see which bugs are known and are being worked on, but we have never gotten that information totally, and have no bug information from Cryptic at all anymore......

I guess we will just have to wait until they decide to sell fixes to these bugs in the C-Store, because that is what seems to be happening lately, if it isn't going into the C-Store it is not getting any effort put into it .....

and don't get me started on the QA process that Cryptic doesn't have ....

I'm erasing the rest of this message, I would just like Cryptic to get this game running correctly and to stop pushing out code that keeps creating all of these bugs, it will kill this game ......

Unless that is what they are trying to do, because they are going to push out some code one day that is going to really TRIBBLE up this game........ and that is a real shame because this was a great game at one time and could be again in the future, if they would just do the right work and stop creating bugs and start fixing them .....

That's weird, I've never had any of those issues. My biggest bug issue ever is that sometimes when I die and get reivived I can't do anything in combat, but a respawn always fixxes that. So... Well um... I dunno what to tell you.

When in ground combat try mousing over the 3rd or 4rth of any of your teams abilities. Nothing. It does not pop a description and if you click it nothing happens. The space graphics do occasionally flicker when there is a nebula type background. (Might be a RADEON issue?) The ground and 'borders' in some missions have eaten me or the rest of my away team.

And there is a long Laundry list of 'quirks' like ending up with odd facings when transitioning sector blocks. Or when I set course for the daily mission to save the Ferengi deuterium post the auto course aims for the ground level of the star map. I end up .7 LY UNDER the objective and have to manually navigate up. This is the kind of thing that is not a BIG DEAL and yet should be SO EASY to fix.

2 hours downtime most every other day during my peak playing time (midnight-2am PT) and they clean up things I have never even heard of or seen and can not take care of the little every day irritants? Seriously?

I keep hearing about this mythical problem, but I have never witnessed it either.

    See above comment.

I have THIS problem everytime I go to Drozana, and sometimes when I go to the S.S. Azura.

I completely second this last notion.

How do so many people have so many problems with this game when it plays just fine for me on a $300 eMachine from Wal-Mart?
Try lowering your video setting, like I do.
    That might help.
    Just a thought.
    Not trying to start trouble.
Just think that might help, if you haven't tried it already.
    It works for me.
I never have any type of program-behavior issues until I try to raise the settings.

It most definately is not mythical. It got to the point as a newby I had to ask in the academy if it was intended or a bug.

I have actually seen my whole groun team disappear under the map and not be able to return. I think this is more a map issue and so would not be apparent unless you do those specific maps. I reporeted it. In one quest the buildings were on such wavy ground that you could get inside them, as some of the mobs did they could hit you but not the other way round so you had to find the way in to kill them and complete it.

Lowest settings at the moment due to having a passive cooled graphics card. Maybe you just haven't had the maps pop up where the dissapearing team and mobs are concerned. As to the controlling BOffs issue it would not be so bad if I could move the abilities about as I like to control some of them myself. AS it is it is just getting annoying.

After having to go out and buy a new graphics card when they made some changes after Beta my card can handle everything. All of a sudden a few months ago this flickering shows up. I should not have to LOWER my settings because they cannot fix the bugs. They told me I had to get a better card and I did, now they have to find these problems and fix them. Just because you like to settle for lower graphics doesn't mean everyone should. Bottom line is they do not do the testing needed and with every release they add to the amount of bugs that are in this game and keep fixing bugs that I have never heard of or ever seen.....

and when you are playing elite and can't use 8 of your BOFF's powers that is a big problem and it needs to be fixed.....

It's the nature of software development, accept it.

Please tell me a software you think does not have bugs and I will find a bug in it easily.

Last night I found that while the game was responding to my keyboard input I could not use any abilities (ground). The ground buttons would light up as if being pressed, but they would not work. I was on an escort mission too ^^

Other than that I have also experienced the flickering in the UI pop-ups for channel list and for other things like boff powers.

I also had a ui element phase in which had a 45 minute timer counting down which stayed a few seconds (while flickered) and then disappeared as quick.

    Ghosts in the machine.

No it is not .... a good Software company would not let these simple bugs go out, they would be caught in testing .... As a former Software person I can tell you that if a simple bug like something in the UI not working we would not release the software.... We would have lost the account if we put out bugs like you see in this game on a daily basis..... I would not release any software if I tested it on a simple ground mission and half the BOFF powers no longer worked .... it is embarrassing to see these bugs ......

Please tell me of a game that allows bugs that mean you can not even use abilities to stay in it for any length of time. Yes bugs happen but reporting them should actually have them worked on and try to sort them out, and letting your customers know you are on it.

Accepting bugs happen is different form shutting up about which your first line seems to be telling us to do.

I an't talk about here, but I was always a tester in another game the majhority of people eren't reporting bugs they were using it to get a heads up on what was to come and if a bugworked to their advnatage they kept quiet about it so it made it through. This resulted in an entire guild being banned for using it in a raid. Now if that happens here then I can understand some getting through but as you say basic UI thigs should not have gotten past the testing phase.

It is however a two way street. People testing actually have to test and report and the porogrammers need to listen. Now where this is breaking down I do not know.

As a person that does do bug reports and does do some testing, not all the time, but some testing, I write a bug report for each bug I find, and sometimes even for things I think might be wrong, but find out later it was meant to be that way. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it is breaking down in the "programmers need to listen" phase, or at least need to fix the bugs phase........ stop with the grab bags and fix the bugs......

I haven't had any trouble with any one thing not working on Ground, but I HAVE had trouble with some of my abilities not responding in Space.
People just keep telling me "That's just a move the Romulans do that shuts down your systems for a few seconds."
It's not just the Romulans that I'm fighting when this happens.

I know the difference between an ability which shades out my powers with a timer on each one of them that is exactly the same length for all of them and a glitch/bug that leaves them lit-up, and responds graphicallly on the power tray when pressed, but never actually lets the powers do anything.
This is especially true since it happened to my Evasive Manuvers on a map where not even any enemies to engage in the first place.
It was just a "Scan 5 things" exploration mission.

Unless this is an ability ALL of the types of NPC/Players & some enemy-less maps have, then this is a glitch/bug that should have been fixed when I reported it on Tribble, and long before I notcied it on Holodeck . . . back in Season 3.
