HUD Stacking?

I was messing with the HUD this evening trying to, um, hide a certain part of it and I had a thought. IS there a way for us to manually adjust what item is on top of what? For example, all of my weapons are set to autofire and I use the spacebar to fir it off. So being able to put my tray on top of the weapons would save a lot of space.

So, is it possible to adjust the forward to back order? If not, could we add that?

    I was under the impression that you could alter, or even remove, any element of the UI with commands.

    I don't know where a list of them would be found, but I'd bet latinum there is a way to kill the notification area buried SOMEwhere in the code.

    I'd like to know where it is. I never liked having the notification area even when it wasn't annoying me. Most of the time, I knew what it was notifying me of already.

    Also, I would love to see a "Hide" button. I love to Alt-F12 but would like to keep the Chat window only. So being able to hide some parts of the UI would achieve the same thing

    I found this list of UI commands. If anyone would like to help me search its 578 entries, I'd appreciate it.

    I found this as well;

    Edit: these seem promising;

    GenMovableBoxResetAllPositions: Reset a movable box to its default position.

    GenMovableBoxResetPosition: Reset a movable box to its default position.

    GenRemoveModal: Hide a gen on the modal layer.

    GenRemoveWindow: Hide a gen on the window layer.

    GenRemoveWindowPCXbox: Hide a gen on the window layer that is specific to PC or Xbox.

    I guess I'm confused. Why not just hide that UI element on the rearrange hud screen?

    Because there is no option to hide it by default.

    Thats why we've turned to the dark arcane arts of commands. :cool:

    Yes there is. I just click hide and then when I come back it's gone.

    There isn't one for the notification block.

    Let me get this straight.
    You have a 'hide' button on your notifications box?

    Because the last ten times I checked on my client you couldn't hide it.
    You can hide the compass and several other things...

    I could have sworn you were asking about the weapons tray in the original post.

    I was. But was only using that as an example. I edited my OP to make that a little clearer.

    Nope. Didn't do anything.
