Suggestion: Ker'rat variations - more different warzones

The mission design in Ker'rat is fun, and it works pretty well. But.

Let's face it, you are at the frontline of a Klingon/Federartion war... and you fight Borg. Not very intuitive. Now, this may make sense in the mission context, but shouldn't there also be battles that are about Federation or Klingon starbases?

So my idea would be: Just add two systems that work quite similar to Ker'rat, but instead of Borg, have a Klingon or Federation NPC force there. Players can now attack the base or defend it, depending on their faction, but apart from that, the mission works much like current Ker'rat.

What do you all think about this?

As a newcomer, I think this is good. I was somewhat disappointed by the majority of combat being PvE or PvP. That may be fine but I didn't want to get into it the first time I went to that sector. The borg fight was the only way I could accomplish the "fight 3 battles" mission without having to go PvP.

The mission "Keeping your enemies close" Involves the KDF player attacking Utopia Planetia Shipyards. That should have been a Space War map with Federation players defending, and KDF ships attacking.

And equal zone for the klinks, exactly identical would be nice even. As it stands I dont think its fair that feds get to farm d all day with no worries. While the klinks have n'vak and you can't get anything done there period.

maybe just one map, that alternately resets to klingon / federation starbase and outlying stations (sensor tower, ect)

or even better, make it only reset when the attackers win. that would simulate capturing the starbases and holding them. however, each successive win makes the starbase's hp and defending squadrons weaker, to simulate battle damage.

that would entertain a lot of people and fleets by giving them a target to work for, and also prevent a group of people from holding it indefinitely.

maybe also rewards for holding the side for a certain number of rounds?

-also no healing / protecting the stations with skills and stuff. would make it impossible

Well, I guess manpower is Cryptic's prevalent problem right now, so keeping it simple is essential. That's why simply copying Ker'rat and replacing some parts of it (other background image, remove the borg, add Klingons/Federation NPC forces and a starbase) looks so attractive, to my eyes: It has an actual chance of being implemented within a week, spending not too many work-hours on it.
