Move commodities above food in the replicator list

Ok, anyone who actively uses the doff system goes through a LOT of commodities. And honestly, the system and other parts of the game are lucrative enough in terms of EC that there's really not much incentive to track down freighters for the cheaper prices.

On the other hand, few people go through much food. It's not hugely useful in and of itself, and even tribble breeders only use a few at a time.

Every time anyone replicates commodities, they have to scroll way down the list to get to them. And now that chefs and bartenders can add more stuff to the replicator list, that list can get LONG.

Please, please, reorder the replicator list, swap food and commodities in the list, so that commodities are above food.

While you're at it, move consumables up even farther, and put them right below the remodulator, because they're also more heavily used than food, and since there's only three of them they won't add a ton of scrolling behind ahead of commodities.

I never thought about it, but you're right. The food is mostly useless and now commodities are in much greater use.

Yep, the food is largely a waste of space. I've never replicated any food whatsoever.

While they're at it, I wish they would sort the Commodity list in alphabetical order, too.

    Agreed.

I never replicated food, I don't even use it. The stuff I find, I feed to my Away Team to keep them in good spirit. :D

Better yet, put tabs in the Replicator Window. Food, Commodities, Items, and Holograms. Plus the Recycle/Retrieve tabs or whatever, of course.

    100% agree with the OP.

Food and drink always seemed like IP fluff which is nice to have in the game but not at the expense of UI function. I would like to see medium and large health and shield packs added to the replicator as well.

Well, it IS a replicator, and in context it's most often used for food.

My vote is for tabs, so food is still the first thing we see, just to preserve the feel of it being a ship's replicator.

But I wouldn't complain a bit if Commodities AND the various batteries were simply moved above the food items.
