I just noticed that the posting on the Cryptic Job Board for the Executive position has disappeared. Could it be that they've filled the position? Maybe they've decided to promote from within. Or, maybe they've just given up trying to find a permanent EP.
Hiring. Sets schedules. Decides what everyone else is assigned to work on. Sets and communicates the game's vision while managing the teams.
Directly or indirectly, what everyone works on gets set by the EP.
Day to day stuff may get worked out by systems leads but it's the EP's job to work out the plan for one month, three months, six months, and make sure that happens.
Tumerboy or Logan don't decide what they're working on. There's a management structure that goes up to the EP.
And the EP also coordinates with Jack Emmert and Zinc.

HR is more insurance, sexual harassment complaints, ensuring compliance with labor laws, sorting job applicants, recruiting, etc. That's Jamie Mancebo and John Ptucha.
EP decides what is going on, taking into account what feedback they get, and sets the mission statement for the team, overseeing production.

I had a boss that did all of those. Plus got upset whenever someone would draw Berny The Angry Snake on the company packaging:
Sorry Captains, but I can see this thread going south fast. I already see a couple of things that need to be edited out, so I will give you a few moments to do so If you think it should go, then it should.

Has anyone checked Superlink's website?

So.... Human Resources with a fancy title?
And more pay.
Well now, that is always a welcomed change.

It looks like all he's done is deactivate or delete his Twitter account, not left Cryptic
I saw a rumor that he left TWITTER. That was a private account that got closed.
Yeah. And it showed. Its nice to see that some places divide the responsibility amongst multiple people.
Something about him not using Twitter. I really can't be any specific than that as I have never used it.
Branflake already answered it. IIRC, his twitter was set up by someone else and he hardly ever used it.
Cheers,
