Voice Ads Are Too Loud

Yup I Am Yelling Because The Ad Yells At Me! It Gets Very Annoying When The Ad Plays 20 Times Or More Louder Than The Game Audio Which Is Set At 100%. Does The Ad Really Need To Play So Loudly? I Am Astounded My Speakers Haven't Blown Out Yet.

And No, I Am Not Opposed To Ads But Christ Lower The Volume On Them Already!!!

No, I think he means they are too loud. I have a 7.1 surround sound, and the AD is so much louder than the game that it actually blew one of my speakers.

SO now one of my speakers has a perminate scrachy sound, so i have to replace it. I sent a ticket in for it to complain but maybe the forum is a good place to get some attention on the matter.

escape - options - voice chat - disable voice chat.

If you want/need voice, get a ventrilo, raidcall, or teamspeak server... or use Skype, Google Talk, etc. Plenty of options that are free or don't require ads.;)

I disabled voice chat in game. I was only using it to meet new people and talk to them on STF, PVP and Fleet actions. I just type now. Besides, I have Teamspeak and Vent for my real life friends.

But, all that aside, the sound playback is extremely loud compared to all other audio in the game. It really doesn't need to be that loud. They can simple mute out all other sound for a few seconds, play the ad, then resume regular volume.

    I didn't even know there were ads..Lol.

But there are things that are too loud..Like the Holo Lita yelling at you when you beam into DS9, and the door explosions in Tear of the Prophits...

Or even a text ad would be fine. Like I said, the ads don't bug me but it is stupid to have an audio ad that is WAY LOUDER than the game. +20x louder than 100% game audio is insane. I doubt Cryptic or whoever will buy me new speakers when mine get ruined by the damned audio ad.

I could disable voice chat in the game, but I kind of like it to meet new people to game with.

I played for a few hours after my initial post and ran Audacity to capture the ad as compared to the game audio but it never played again. The audio ad appears to be random.

Ah, right, I was wondering what people were on about as I've never heard an advert, but then I turned off voice chat 10 seconds after I started the game. I always do in MMOs.
