Auto Fire Patched Out

I'm not generally the type to complain, and this is really more an inquiry than a complaint, but was this intentionally removed?

Perhaps due to PVP concerns? I don't care much for PVP myself, but I would hope this feature wasn't removed permanently.

I found it quite helpful to set my phasers to auto fire so I don't have to hammer on my space bar during combat.

It's a bug that they are aware of and are fixing. There is also a temporary work around. Check the Dev tracker for more info.

to temporarily fix it you have to type in /defaultautoattack 1 in chat and then right click around on your weapons and sometimes have to do it several times to get the things right.

Why would they sticky a temporary workaround for an acknowledged bug, if it was 'intentionally removed'?

Actually I'm more of a "Set phasers to awesome!" kind of guy.

To be honest, I didn't notice the dev post about it until after i posted it. So my apologies for ruffling you feathers, sir.
