"There's a lot of story missions to play... but most of them aren't very good."

Screenshot that is attached to only shows them as having unlocked the Klingon missions, lol :p

    So help me out here.

I like the review and I think it's fair, but I am not sure how it's really going to help STO in that it made it clear, you don't really need to buy anything to play and it's as free as can be.

Surely the purpose of F2P is to make people spend money and sometimes its more than a sub. This review made me realise how "Free" STO really is and as the F2P crowd are notoriously "cheap";), where is the money gonna come from? Is the money really going to come from the inventory slots?

I have spoken to a few of my friends and read some forum reviews of of people who say they love the game so far, but don't feel any need to spend a penny on it.

I am sure in the next few weeks, we will see a post saying 400% increase in accounts but it's the revenue side that I am interested in.

Now I am waiting for a review from MMorpg, to see if they do their 3rd review they promised, after F2P went live.

Money through numbers. If they hook enough people in the thousands that will try the game, then they are almost assured to make a buck through the C-Store. If the dilithium exchange is any indication, a lot of people are spending c-points right now!

don't forget that the holiday gift boxes were selling like hot cakes, with people spending up to I think the highest I heard was 2000$ worth of c-points on them.
