This is one of those wow are you kidding me stories, but if you think about it I can see how it happened. But it's still very very sad to read about something like this. Poor guy.
This thing kind of scares me because it's not the first time something like this has made the news, last year there was one in Korea and a couple years ago in Japan, though that one didn't die he just lapsed into a diabetic coma and sat there face down on his keyboard until closing time.
Is there some kind of cultural norm in Asia where you just ignore people who appear to be sleeping or unconscious in public? In North America somebody would have nudged him to ask if he was done so he could free up the space he obviously wasn't using for somebody in line.
I dont get that part of thge sorty too. But maybe a lot of people fall asleep at the computer station, and that's why no one figured there was an issue with this guy.

I believe last Friday's paper mentioned something along the lines that oen of the bordering town to mine had someone die in their home for over a year before anyone noticed.
Not nearly as shocking as somebody getting mugged or run over on a busy street and people just gawk and keep walking. No less sad but the shock factor has been thinned by the sheer number of stories like these.
