STF' s ruined by farmers and kickers

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
cure space they are farming loot at kang nothing more than that
they have ruined a once fun mission
secon d block people from kick team function in STF or block them from loot drops if they do it and refuse to join team
they are doing to get around need or greed
and it is alway a KDF player doing it
I reportd one player to you guys via ticket so
I see you do it I will report you I am getting tired of this issue
I have been hell bent againts have a kick team function and this why
if you give the cheaters a legal loop whole to bypass a team function in a team mission
they will abuse and these people need to be baned from STF's when they get reported

these 2 issues are violations of something

it is not fair for the rest of us to have STF's ruined by idiots

I've played over 200 STF missions and I am uncertain exactly what you are referring to.

Need Or Greed is a broken concept for loot drops. I wish that they would just set Round Robin and a forced roll for Borg specific stuff. That way the system determines who gets what and no one can scam or ninja anyone else.

let see 3 to 4 team sitting a Kang letting cubes spawn ships so they get loot
I did cure today and that is what they are doing

it is not the first time
I am not the only one noticing it

you have not been kicked yet or you are doing the kicking hmm

I have run almost 500 600 more on tribble
    I despise cheaters

Cure space can be done wth 9 min left not three cubes left and run out of time something is drasticly worng when you have to Big E and a Dreadnought camping at kang

2 were in same fleet

I have never been kicked from an STF. I am not even certain it is possible to kick someone in a PuG.

Also, I'm not sure how you can tell that people babysitting the Kang are loot-camping. They might just be trying to safeguard it.

The worst thing I ever saw was someone go hide on the other side of the planet while others did the work. I don't think he ever got his loot though, so I was not quite certain what he was doing.

It is not. It's an often requested feature, but not one we've gotten an answer on yet.

I means that occasionally the auto-team bugs, sets someone to team leader, and then they can boot other people from the team. When everyone is de-teamed, the loot just drops and anyone can grab it.

wait till you run into people when that warbird comes out and people use tractor repulsors to push it away constantly.

Ive have seen this kinda TRIBBLE all so Ones that need too stop using the tractor both sides we are trying too kill it not save it.Be for free too play came out i use too get tons of items now sense it is F2P i cant get jack.barely.All tough i don't really care As long as i get my items at the end.I had one group at one point in time did kick me off team.but it did not but me from stf the Klingon player was Extremly Rude So i told him or her too shut up and grow up and after that that person did not say a thing.Don't treat people like TRIBBLE or you will get treated the same way back i for one are not afraid any body or any thing. My whole point here is Grow up Stop treating other player like dirt.I for one do lots of work in the stf.

Remember your a team from Both Factions trying too beat the STF Don't Spazz on the others be cause either you cant handle it or you cant get along i for one get along fine as long as others dont **** me off.

Don't add kick feature to the game... You can kick people? That is even worse.. I've seen that cause more problems then the random tartds.

A kick ability is a realy bad solution: players can abuse it. I think is better to remove loot from stf mission: just the final loot my be based upon some kind of merit.

We are talking about a kick-vote, right? That usually works - at least for shooters.

and then you get in a team with 3-4 leechers and votekicked out of the instance, plus a 24h ban from stfs, just for their fun of it. errm, bad choice.

    /vote for no votekick.

Ok , you have a few misconceptions -- perhaps I can help :

    1) There is a bug that (quite often now) disbands the whole team during an STF . It's not YOU who is getting kicked from the team , it's the whole team dissolving .
This bug has been around for the last week , perhaps a little longer .

    2) Once the bug happens and the team get's auto-disbanded , people usually try to re-form the team by themselves by inviting each other to team up .
At this point -- if they have a Klingon on the team -- they try to invite him too , except they CAN'T because the game suddenly thinks that Klings and Feds can't team up . It's another bug that I have confirmed with separate Klingon players on separate teams . They just don't get the invitation from other players to re-join the team . It does not show up for them .
    It's not that they don't want to , it's they can't .

    Hope this helped . :)

Some of us however actually use the need/greed system as intended in private queues.

I'll be very blunt because I'm sick and tired of seeing these whiny threads: doing STF missions with a PUG is quite frankly a very bad idea because most of the time you will get a random group that doesn't coordinate, doesn't function as a team and can't handle the mission. I asked, and the devs have no plans to do anything about this, nor should they. If you sign up for a PUG, you are willingly (and hopefully knowingly) signing up for a whole host of possible frustrations. A PUG run on cure space normal is the absolute simplest way to earn one of those datachips, hence a lot of people who don't want to or cannot handle the more interesting / challenging STF runs such as Infected Ground do that.

If you want a good STF run, find the people from your fleet and your friends list or venture (with caution) into the #EliteSTF channel, some of the people there are decent enough. I'll add that in general that if you have no choice but to go with a PUG, do the elite missions since the player quality is slightly higher: complete newbies get frustrated with the elite runs and quickly stop trying. You also get twice the datachip rewards. Know what you're doing (if you don't, read the guide linked in my signature), and make an honest effort to coordinate with your fellow players and kill the Borg.

PS: If you're really, really sick of PUGs, go do an STF that doesn't allow PUGs and kill some Undine instead. ;)

As an FYI, the devs are very much aware of this bug (yes, it is a glitch) and fixing it is a top priority. If you should encounter that, switch to whichever chat tab you use for zone chat and proceed. The bug shouldn't disrupt the functioning of a good team overly much if you're aware of it.

They all ready fixed the kick issue like a month ago if you where kicked bye a team mate it would have booted you from the STF this has been fixed So that all 5 can still finish the STF and i don't like the idea of being kicked.

All i expect from PUG STF is completion. It's only in the third mission where it is possible to fail if you have a horrible teamate covering the other portal. And cure is done on normal. Elite needs coordination to succeed. So 1, 2, 2 EDCs for 5 total Each run.

This has already been explained to him in another thread, and he didn't get it then, so I doubt this will help.

I can understand his point about the farmers though. It would be annoying to join an STF, only for most of the group to sit there waiting for spawns to kill instead of doing the objective.
